Mind you this is the sporting story of the Olympics.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/winter-olympics/43095089" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

More of a snowboarder. Check
Never been on a podium in skiiing. Check
Borrowed skis for the race. Check

May he been the best post race look I've ever seen from a gold medalist. Mouth wide open, looking confused.

I won? Me? Nah. Must be a mistake.

Brilliant.

Quite interesting story to Izzy Atkin. She's a Yank born to a British father.

Left the US team to join the Brits because she's pretty quiet and shy and as her dad says, "unless you are a loud, big character you could get lost on the US Team.”

Can't imagine Americans being like that. Their loss is the reserved Brits gain.

Chistie in the first heat, just incredible. Went from 4th to 1st in just over a lap, looked on a different level to the rest.

Praying she gets the medal she deserves.....

Christie must be one of the unluckiest Olympians ever, her bad luck just rubbed off on her Hungarian boyfriend who also crashed out in the 1000m Final. Really feel for the woman.

And like a true champion pulls it out of the bag on the final run under maximum pressure. Just like Shaun White.
When you analyse what she has actually done it is incredible. First British double gold medalist in Winter Olympic history. Outstanding.

Agony for James Woods who finished 4th.

Missed a tap on the rail that probably cost him a medal.

Russian competing under neutral Olympic banner "may have failed drug test"
A Russian athlete is suspected of failing a doping test at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, according to Russian news agency Tass.

More than 160 competitors are taking part as neutral Olympic Athletes from Russia (OAR) as their country was banned from the Games over "systemic" doping at Sochi 2014, which they hosted.

Several Russian media outlets are reporting the OAR team has been notified of a "possible violation of the anti-doping rules" by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), but are waiting on the results of a B sample to confirm the breach.

Team OAR have not yet confirmed the name of the athlete.

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) declined to comment, saying an independent testing authority was in charge of drugs testing at Pyeongchang.

Despite Russia being banned from the Games in South Korea, athletes who could prove they are clean could compete under the OAR banner.

I don't know how I feel about the Russians being allowed to compete as 'Olympic Athletes'. Although there are probably innocent athletes who haven't (knowingly) doped, to what extent is the nation being punished? They're not in national kit, their anthem isn't played when they win gold, but other than that...? Are there many Russian individuals who aren't competing because they've been caught?
