A dolly for Wood and Leachs' 2nd wicket of the innings leaves just 4 wickets remaining with 40 odd overs or so to bowl (early finish due to light allowed).

Has to be said England have dropped NZ on 5 occasions, some very difficult chances though.

Last over before tea and the cloud cover has moved in from nowhere. The NZ comms are thinking not much more than a half dozen overs after tea.

If I were an England player I wouldn't even change out of my whites......... just get me home. A terrible winter for our test team. :thdn:

Everyone round the bat at the end but ran out of time. We failed to take 20 wickets yet again.

7 tests, zero occasions that we've taken 20 wickets this winter.

A worrying stat.

The frustrating thing is that if England had to bat out the day in Christchurch you could put your house on them not accomplishing it.
