London Broncos back in the Superleague - COYB!!!
Look like they could still do with a bit of strengthening, especially with Sammut leaving. Get a couple of loanees maybe ?
Anyone else looking forward to the new season?

Yes - I watch a fair bit, both Super League and NRL.

I was a student in Leeds back in the 80s and lived in Headingley and so they are my team. The last 3 season’s have been a bit of an unexpected rollercoaster but hopefully things should settle down this season, although I don’t really think they’ve fully replaced Danny Maguire in 2017.

It’ll be interesting to see how the reduced number of interchanges affects matches, and will possibly make them more open at the end when players are more knackered.

As for the NRL - I follow Manly Sea-Eagles having gone to a game there a few years back and the fact they play in claret.

London Broncos off to an absolute flying start back in Superleague - I hoped we might sneak a win but didn't think it would be this comfortable. And it WAS a comfortable win.

I’m off to watch the World Club Challenge in Wigan on Sunday .... as the Sydney Roosters are still in pre-season, it should level the playing field a bit more but I can’t see Wigan winning.

Enjoy it, should be a good game.
Went a bit tits up for the Broncos last week, hoping we can turn it around at HKR. Or failing that when we're next back on the plastic pitch in Ealing.

A thumping win for York Knights in the Championship. A 56-0 victory over Barrow Raiders.

Tuning in for the classic underdog vs giant fairytale tonight, 6pm.

St Helens and Salford Red Devils do battle in the Grand Final.

It's Man City v Watford, Patriots V Tampa Bay, Barca V Eibar....

....but who knows, its a one-off final and Saints were big favourites in August for the Challenge Cup final and lost to Warrington.

A romantic soul like me can't fail to be taken by the Salford story, a team of misfits, badboys and rejects who just avoided relegation last season and just clicked mid-season to go on an unlikely run to the final. I'm rooting for them, but know its a VERY long shot.

Very surprised to see Salford make the final, fair play to them! St Helens have been imperious this year but who knows, stranger things have happened.

Saints 12 - 6 up at HT.

Started ferociously but Salford steadied and were on top before the hooter.

All to play for.

Saint Helens too powerful, too professional in the end. 23-6.

Worthy champions.
