Brescia’s Savio To West Ham Imminent
Brescia midfielder Savio Nsereko could be leaving Italy and his club according to the latest speculation.
The German player failed to show up for training today and many believe that this is the latest sign that he is on his way out of Brescia.
Savio has caught the attention of various big clubs following some impressive displays with Brescia during this season in Serie B.
After being linked to various big clubs around Europe, it seems that Savio could join West Ham for a fee of €7 million, and according to the latest reports in Italy, the two clubs have already reached an agreement.
No official statement has yet been made, but everything is pointing towards this solution.
Savio has been at Brescia since 2005 following his move from Munich 1860 when he was just 15 years old. Since then he has played 21 games for the Rondinelle and scored three goals.

Italian media says Savio is done deal for Hammers
According to multiple news sources in Italy, the deal for Brescia's Ugandan attacker Nsereko Savio is all but tied up.
Mediagol is reporting that a fee of around £9 million has been struck for the 19 year old, who learned his trade playing in Germany. EVen the president of Brescia, Gino Corioni, is saying the deal is done.
The Italian press is rife with quotes that Nani, who worked with the player at Brescia, was looking to tie up a deal within the next few days, having spoken with the players representatives last week.
The player, who signed for Brescia aged 16, was also wanted by a whole host of other Italian clubs, including Roma and Genoa.
Voted player of the tournament at the Under-19 Euro championship, a £9 million transfer fee seems a bit steep for a player that would appear to be at a comparable level to Freddie Sears rather than a direct replacement for Craid Bellamy.
----------------------------------------------
Does anyone else hope he gets called Savio, rather than Nsereko cause it's cooler?

Re: Savio
A lot of money, but he's rated as one of the best young strikers in Europe and is on the cusp of making the full German side.
I'm sure Nani and Zola know what they're doing.
I hope this goes ahead - it will shut the press up properly.

Re: Savio
From a pretty reliable website, looks like it moved forward today, as he didn't turn up for training.

Re: Savio
Gareth Bale and Theo Walcott both went for similar fees from 2nd tier football in this country.*dicanio* wrote:A lot of money 9 mill for a serie b playing 19 year old isn't it?
IF he has the potential being claimed by a lot of people, it could prove to be good business.
Re: Savio
I like the sound of this, the westham fans site said that the interview had quoted from brescias boss saying he was gone and quotes fron nani saying stuff along thos lines.
Only question i have is, in the 2 articles one says £9 million pounds and the other says $9 euros?

Re: Savio
I don't like the sound of it!
he's too unproven and young. rather have darren bent as a striker, and no people savio ain't a left winger!! he has played there yeah but he just ain't, he's a striker.

Re: Savio
End of the day nani hasnt really let us down has he, and whats wrong with paying over the odds for a younger players that has the potential to be worth more and a real asset to the team, i dont get why people are already saying there not sure about him before seeing him play, im assuming no1 has ever seen him play.
Re: Savio
Who says? Absolutely no mention of this anywhere in the German press.rendog2 wrote:...and is on the cusp of making the full German side.

Re: Savio
In FM09 he's called Savio without a last name. He had Nsereko on his shirt for the U19 Euros, though.Memorial Ground wrote:Bout time we got a thread, don't you reckon?
