Re: Asia trophy ...Final Travel Details
Candles have been very seriously burnt over the last God knows how many hours...
The troops are assembling and Beijing is being warned.
After many tales of our problematic travels were told over a few beers or 10 we got together as a group and went on
the hunt for a local after finding the planned local pub was shut down two days ago. After discovering that the local beer was £6 a glass in the hotel we nipped in cabs to the Irish haunt called the Stumble Inn.
Trust us to arrive as happy hour (4 hours actually) began
Once we found all our favourite beers under one roof there was no moving us especially as the grub was excellent too,
More weary travelers turned up as the afternoon progressed and celebration was had once hearing that our suspect swine flu passengers had been released from hospital. I would advise any more people arriving to take the suggested 2 paracetamol 2 hours before landing at Beijing to lower temperatures as they are pulling anyone with a temp of above 1 degree than the norm. Not good.
Back to the hotel swish bar. (the M Bar) for some complimentary drinks and cocktails to ensure none of us are standing by midnight...although talksofmoving on to some suggested places are ongoing at the moment. I am sure that more alcohol will fuel this discussion. I will report back once plans finalised. ..

Re: Asia trophy ...Final Travel Details
yup...that's where they be
Today...a summary:
Breakfast,,,out of this world. Except the chicken sausages.
Silk market...snide gear beyond belief...mucho paper dosh passing hands and chinesepeople crying apon our departure.
Beers rmain good.
Acrobatic show...pretty amazing.
Ended up in the Sanlitun district for night time drinks - an expats area with hol in the floor stinking toilets. Loads of fellow Hammers from all over the UK met up tonight - was good seeing some familiar faces. Seena few hull supporters aroundbut no Tottenham anywhere :)Heard tonight that spurs only sold 27 tickets for the game via official site. gutted.
Stories from last night endup with these words:
Pole dancing
Pants around ankles.
Sleeping in taxis.
Chinese people in clubs turning off music unless Hammers people put clothes back on.
Beer.
More beer.
Shots.
More shots.
Some crazy photos and no names mentioned.
What goes on tour stays on tour
Oh...and Bobby O has arrived - BSB1 and Fionn enjoyed many cuddles with him.
Zai Jain for now....

upton girlie, we missed you lot, terrace bar was closed and didn't fancy drinking on the terrace on the 63rd floor!!!, found a bar called the Den just by the Workers Stadium and Hooters, that's where we'll be for lunch tomorrow.

Quick word on the game yesterday. Our lot of players were a bit c***ish to be honest. They just walked straight off after that **** performance and didn't even ackowledge our fans. Some of our lot were also c**** to some of our fans on the plane over. Zola need to sort that out.
Hull have brought huge numbers.

Re: Asia trophy ...Final Travel Details
quick question..were all of our players and staff in business class/premium economy or equivalent?
Re: Asia trophy ...Final Travel Details
They booked out the whole of business class. Noble and Parker chatted away to some of our lot. Spector as well. Green and a few others couldn't have been less interested.w4hammer wrote:quick question..were all of our players and staff in business class/premium economy or equivalent?
Met a few of the old boys, Tony Gale, Cottee etc yesterday and they were top.
