I'll be sober with you me dear...the thought of staying at a Beijing Butlins for a week is not my cup of tea. I have, however, packed in my hand luggage, enough paracetamol for everyone travelling on the plane. I may also pack my nurses uniform and force feed the drugs to all the passengers :lol:

Fionn, Tomas et moi packed and ready to go here too :raver:
Except for Bobby O's 6 large pork pies, 14 scotch eggs, 12 bacon bites and 12 cooked English sausages. Will add those in with ice packs and cool bags just as we are about to leave. I spoil him - I really do.

BTW...we have packed the poker chips and cards too - Fionn's idea :lol:
I love you.

Has anyone collected their tickets yet? I need to know which part of the ground West Ham have been allocated . I am trying to book on line with Ticket master China but they do not know where or if there is a West Ham section.

Just worked out that the main force will get into BJ at breakfast time (barring stopover), possibly the worst time to arrive anywhere in the jet-lag zone. In order to get there at a civilised time in the evening, i.e. allowing you to anaesthetise and get in a normal night's sleep, you'd have to leave H'row at 3am.

And here is the weather forecast http://news.bbc.co.uk/weather/forecast/ ... gion=world" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Bwaaaaaahahahahahaha you plums!

Good morning everyone! I am waiting for my flight to Vancouver and then have a layover there before I skip over the Pacific to Beijing. I don't have pork pies for you Bobby, but I do have a couple of things for your upcoming US trip. Also, Romford, I tried to find Ranch dressing that wouldn't explode in my luggage but alas, it all appeared pretty breakable. I hope everyone's travels are going well.

More free wi-fi to be found in the lovely Pacific NW! Waiting to board flight to Beijing. Favorite response heard today: "No, it's not a very full flight at all." :)

No extra huge pizzas, ala Toronto, to be found here at the Vancouver airport BSB1. Just maple syrup and Tim Horton's (this will make sense to those in the Canadian know.)

Everyone must be traveling, I am the last poster in this thread twice! ;)

forgot to say that we bumped into the team at Beijing airport. All looking as tired as us lot.

Hotel very swish. . Great location and banter. The amount of gadgets in our rooms is unbelievable. We have light switches for all sorts of different reasons. . Tv above the bath looks good too.
Bobbys pork pies are established in the room fridge and awaiting his arrival. Safe journey rch and bobby etc.

Am pool side at the moment. . Everyone playing 'hit the paddy with a beach ball' in the pool. Unfortunately the pool decor (about 200 plants in pots at side of pool) is taking a battering. . As is the paddy and bsb1. .

.
