Re: Snap ownership poll
Gold and Sullivan if only for the fact they have done a similar and successful sort of job at Birmingham previously.
They have the experience.
I doesn't matter how much money you have if you have no experience of running a football club it can soon evaporate for no return like Ashley at Newcastle or Goldberg at Palace who I believe actually bankrupted himself.

Re: Snap ownership poll
I really don't know enough about each of the interested parties but a group of rich West Ham fans, if true, seems ideal to me.

Re: Snap ownership poll
David Gold & David Sullivan, under them you know that they will bring financial stability to the club, Intermarket we know nothing about them which leaves me cautious about them Fernandes again I don't know a lot about him or how much money he has.

Re: Snap ownership poll
G&S , not because I have been taken in by press spin , see them as knights in shining armour, or even believe they have the clubs best interests at heart .Nor do I believe they will honour the pledge on next years season ticket prices, or spend millions improving the squad .
They will invest modestly , charge as much as they think they can get away with - they won't be bothered if 5,000 disappear off the attendence figures if the total revenue is higher than before , and will settle for a decent cup run every couple of years .
For a couple of years however they will provide stability , and a chance for the club to recpver some dignity in the post Tevez fiasco .
Gold , though is 71 .Who cops his share of the club on checkout day ?

Re: Snap ownership poll
I have not voted as I do not know much about any of the proposed bids & their plans of investment in our club. As long as the Icelandic mob are out before we have to sell any of our players & they drag us down to the Championship then I will be happy

Re: Snap ownership poll
Have I missed something or are G+S the only ones who have shown a concrete interest?
Seems they are the best bet.

Re: Snap ownership poll
Intermarket. Some random reasons:
1) T.C.
2) To wind up Trap
3) To wind up Palermo
4) Karen Brady is a fat sow
5) Is any one else getting the hump seeing Gilbert and Sullivan swanning about the Boleyn, giving it large in their two-bob leatherwear like they already own the gaff...?

Re: Snap ownership poll
said none of the above before, so didn't vote
but will now as they have finally said something vote and prefer the intermarket bid, a strong group of investors IMHO would be more beneficial to our future as we won't get anyone who'll spunk money on us and a group will have both business and football success as proirities
it may not be a good comparison for some but spurs is run in this way and i'd settle for our club being ran in that manner, but levy can f*** off

Re: Snap ownership poll
I was a bit puzzled by that as well. Perhaps we could also announce that the current bottom three have been relegated?

Some of you are very easilly swayed by press spin
None of the above and that's pretty sad considering the way this lot run the club but those lot courting us offer nothing at all to enthuse
Best answer on this thread.................my only issue is that are G&S the best of a bad bunch ? Dammed if you do dammed if you don't.

G&S are not the best of a bad bunch. They are slick businessmen who look for opportunities to look after themselves. They did it with porno, they did it with Birmingham. And that's why Sullivan invested in Spurs - to make money. Is it any coincidence that Birmingham have done well since they left? I've nothing against people making money so good luck to G&S in general , but I wouldn't want them anywhere near Upton Park

They've only been gone a couple of weeks chap, I don't think we can really give Yeung all the credit for that.Hurst hits six wrote: Is it any coincidence that Birmingham have done well since they left?

Re: Snap ownership poll
I'd like to be able to buy shares in the club and for it to be run by a board of trustees - similar to the The Guardian newspaper. I don't think Gold and Sullivan are right for the club. Nor do I think we should advertise betting on our club shirts.
I'd like to find a way for all West Ham fans to be able to attend at least a couple of games a season - as many have been priced out and now watch only on tv.
