That's very strange because I work on the south coast and my building is packed with Portsmouth season ticket holders.

To a man and woman they adored him, thought him a shrewd tactician, especially with limited resources, and most of all saw him immediately put the 'under-performers' in their place.

I am a little bit meh about the appointment, but due to our problems I think he is the best we could have hoped for and am actually looking forward to see what he brings to us.

Hopefully a few new decent signings then happy days, I do though hope we sing Avram Grants C&B army early doors.

Has there been a press conference yet or one scheduled for today or tomorrow?

what has he done PL wise, drove Mourinho's bus and relegated Portsmouth. Our 2nd foreign manager. Spuds away should be interesting..........

when we sign Yossi and Tel ben Haim we'll all be singing and the israelites........

I personally think Silas will do a great job and it would not surprise me if we were knocking on top ten this season!

Avram Grunt more like, makes Curbs look like Keith Richards. Personality of a plank of wood.

Got a reasonable team relegated even adding back on the points deduction.
So how good a motivator is he?

Dissappointed as I think we'd really suit a Dutch coach playing total football, but have ordered my Claret n Blue Skullcap anyway.

Really? I would have Grant over Hughes any day and Jol and McLaren just wasn't interested. Grant is a great appointment imo and fits the bill perfectly

Got Chelsea to the runners-up spot in the Premier League and runners up in theChampions League final to Manure (lost on penalties); kept a doomed team together who weren't getting paid, uncertain futures to get to the FA Cup Final.

He must be very, very poor at what he does............

I really don't know what's happening to our club appointing foriegn managers, its not the West Ham way. I'll support Avram Grant for obvious reasons because I want my club to do well but he's not right for the club, I cant see us doing any better next season we need stability not chopping and changing! But Good luck Avram your going to need it

Really!!!

A pompey fan at work loves him. When he took over that side it was already relegated and if you look at the average points per game he would have kept them up. Pretty impresive when you consider the moral of the players and the fact a lot of them weren't able to play in a lot of games due to bonus payments in their contract.

Good luck Avram  :crest:
