Avram: the poll

Grant given ultimatum
West Ham manager Avram Grant is facing the sack unless he wins at least one of the relegation-threatened club's next three games, BBC Sport understands.
The Premier League's bottom team, who are four points adrift of safety, face Blackburn and Fulham away, before meeting Everton on 28 December.

Re: Grant given ultimatum
To be honest I think we need to win all 3!
1 win will put us...er still bottom.

Re: Grant given ultimatum
this is a bizarre bit of journalism - if the owners leaked this then they are just making Grant's job even harder. If they want to sack him, then they didn't need to add to the tension by saying this. It could just be a case of the BBC turning the bleedin' obvious into a story I suppose.

Re: Grant given ultimatum
Crap ultimatum. His target should be more than 50% of the available points. Any less than that is just the same old **** and shouldn't be tolerated.
If we only win a 3rd of our remaining games this season, we go down, so our Ultimatum should be in line with what we need for the rest of the season.

Re: Grant given ultimatum
It's the perfect ploy to keep him in the role, really. As we're going down we hear from G&S, "Avram has done all that we've asked of him." We stay up, "We're f**king geniuses."fjthegrey wrote:Crap ultimatum. His target should be more than 50% of the available points. Re: Grant given ultimatum
And what if we draw all three of them? If we won one and lost two, three draws would have left us in a marginally better position re: goal difference. Would that still be enough to save him, if not us?Yea Why Not wrote:If we don't win any of them it will be too late any way

Re: Avram: the poll
1 win in 3 isn't good enough. That'd put us level with Wolves and still bottom on goal difference most probably...and that's if they don't pick up a point. He should be told 2 wins IMO, or a minimum of 5.
I think he'll be sacked after Blackburn if we fail to win. We haven't won a league away game since August 09 and don't ever beat Everton.
Might as well pack your bags Avram. I'd get a new manager in now myself. Give the new manager a chance to take some points before the new year, assess and re-assemble his squad in January.

Let him do his job, if we don't get something good from those coming 4 games then we are likely doomed anyway.
Pouring gas on the fire won't make it any easier on the team.

Lose 3-0 at Blackburn, lose 2-0 at home to Everton & he keeps his job if we then go & win at Fulham ??
