I thought it was well known that BFS was mates with Fergie too...?
Thats true too, my point was more that we dont need to beat ourselves up or compare ourselves against other clubs every time we hear a good player has gone to any club other than west ham. This clubs got a lot to offer for the players who are right for us and I don't think we need to be looking over our shoulders at what others are doing.
Just been watching YouTube clips of ravel,
If this lad means what he says:
@morrisonravel: Finished Swimming Training in 45 working very hard this pre season i need to play this season FOCUSED & Ready.
And if he stays focused, and patient, then he can be one hell of a player for us, he has got more ability than anyone else in the squad IMO. If we played him in an advanced wide position, he could do some damage.
Sam appears to be in the hunt for a winger/attacker/playmaker, which we do need, but in ravel we do have someone capable of competing for these positions.
Sorry if this is off topic but the point I'm trying to make is just see how he does pre-season before splashing out millions on an Elia or krasic, who could turn out to be huge disappointments on long term contracts with huge wages?

Wishful thinking. I think he is centre midfield and I have never seen the kid play...but.I think the fact he didnt break through when we had that hideous run at the tail end last season is an indication this kid has loads to do to step up.
I wouldn't necessarily say that. I think BFS didn't want to take the risk of having an untried man come in and potentially make things go even worse. I think this pre-season he'll definitely be able to prove himself. We'll see what happens this weekend.

That, and the potential psychological impact it could have on the kid if it didn't go well. It's not like we're the forgiving sort is it?

One person said guti isnt training yet but will be soon (which turned out to be true). Apart from that not a single person doubted you so just chill out
Thats the way I see it too??? I merely mentioned I had spoke to a player who told me Guti hadn't joined up with the squad yet but will do soon and it seems I'm getting a dig at querying it?!?!

TEAM HENDERSON, and i've never even ****ing seen him play..
I'm very good friends with Dave Kitson who played with him at Pompey. When we first got Henderson in I spoke to Kits about him and he said he is a quality keeper and will go a very long way in the game.
Technical ability, to be able to take on his man yes!
Maybe a bit stupid to jump to his praise via YouTube clips, but the lad looks gifted! And like I said its just my opinion!

You've been here long enough now to know if you have an opinion you'll get shot down!!!!
I think it was Ron Greenwood who said that Mervyn Day would be our goalkeeper for the next ten years , so even the best of them could be wrong sometimes .
