AnthraxDave wrote:Holt runs his arse off every game. May not be the most glamorous of players, but surely we want a team full of people who would give 100% each week and grind out the results when nobody gives us a chance.

It aint exactly as if he is **** in the goalscoring stakes, either, to be fair.
I'd buy him for his attitude as well. In the game against Everton Fellani (sp) used his elbow on Holt and Holt quick as a flash gave him one back. Fellani went down clutching his face and appealed to the ref who ignored it because it was even stevens. Holt took Fellani's elbow without complaint. I like a player that can hold his ground against one of the dirtiest players in the prem. Get him in Sam.

Oh and the comparison to Ashton is not as accurate as a comparison with John Hartson who was also a player not to be pushed around in the box.

Rhoys Wiggins is another good player from Charlton. Would love to have a look at him. And Nick Powell from Crewe, though I've heard Man Utd are in pole position to land him.

As transfer rumours go it's a good one... West Ham are thought to be one of the parties interested in signing free agent and former FIFA World Player of the Year Ronaldinho.

He was on big money in Brazil, can see him if he still wants the £ staying there or going China/USA.

Everybody saying he would be a great signing, he is totally unfit, lost interest, is dodgy off the field, is it really worth it.

Hell yes hope this comes off.

Good for shirt sales, global awareness, other players wonting to join to play with him, and can still play.

And before people start peeing there nickers about it or against it, have a moment.

Carry on..

Yup, if only for the PR and merch.
To be honest, it wouldn't really matter if he kicked a football more than once.

We went through this before and demonstrated with various examples that your idea on Allardyce and young players was wrong.

Ah see you get some people who think the managers doing a fair job so don't agree with your negativity just for the sake of it.

We can all name some older players that have come in and been a success!

Make sure you get your cut Neil... five per cent of all new season tickets ordered today should do it.

Or 1.25 per cent over the course of the next four years, of course...
