You said something that to me looked completely wrong. Before posting about it, I googled it to make sure which took about 20 seconds. Perhaps the nonsense you post is down to sheer laziness on your part?
It was Lineker, Hansen and Lawro who mentioned this on MOTD and I believed them, albeit that I also found it surprising, but I naturally assumed that they had their facts right. Anyhow, if we are to make lasting progress, I still think Bent might be a reasonable option for us and I am very surprised at some of the comments this has received. To my knowledge, I haven't made any other suggestion today, yet some people are under the impression that I think we should sign players from top 6 clubs. Now there is nonsense for you
£2.5m is a snip if true, although I still feel that Cole, Vaz Te, Maynard and Baldock are a strong enough 4 to last us the season. IMO, we need a Parker-replacement more urgently.
I would be very surprised if Baldock is with us on 1 September. I think that he, Sears and Nouble will all be off with an aim of about £2 million between them.
Nzonzi looks like the obvious Sam choice for a Parker/Diop replacement to me

Bent would be perfect for a team that does n´t have much possession, like us next year. Probably not realistic though.
Unless Baldock can't hit a cows arse with a banjo in training....I would definitely keep him....just needs to be taught how to put his foot through the ball when 5 yards out!
McCormack can play wide cant he? I imagine him joining Cole and Vaz Te in a front 3 if true. Would be a bit disapointing though, would prefer an Ince/Phillips/Moses/Zaha tbh...

Whats the point? If we dont play 442 he's no more than an impact sub. IMO obviously.

It seems McCormack has refused to sign a new contract with Leeds and wants a big payrise. 25 year old, one year on contract - can play as a striker or winger as D.C. rightly points out.
Adam Clayton also available in similar circumstances. Been very good against us in both games.

mcCormack wasn't great season before last was he IIRC. Leeds fan at work seemed to be stunned he got so many goals this season.
I would list at least four positions as higher priority than another striker to 'play off cole'

It would be great to get Joey Cole back but I think a lot will depend on who Liverpool apoint as their new manager. Would be gutted if he ended up at Reading without us trying to lure hime back! Apparently Lille are only paying him £25k a week and Liverpool make up the rest - that would be a steal!!
