I'd rather wait than rush anyone back and have them break down again.

Does anyone know if there are any decent stopgaps out there we could tempt with a short term deal?
Is there a list of Out of contract players anywhere on the net?

I know we need help in midfield because of injuries, but if we're talking about recalling people from loan spells (Dailly), how about young Ephraim? Camara has already limped off once with an injury and Cole can't do it all himself.
Just a thought.

I think if we field the same team or worse come Saturday then we can look forward to a home loss.
Two 'easy' games coming up and in normal circumstances you would be looking at 6pts but with the injuries that we have I think 2pts from the two games at best!
Just our ****ing luck!

Except that whether we've brought players slowly back giving them so many minutes at a time (ie: Ashton) or whether we've rushed them back they all bloody well end up injured. Play them before they get injured again IMO. It's not like we have many choices with our injury list.

Yep, that's what I'd do
Unless one of Mullins, Quashie or Parker are considered 100% fit, we need someone to play the defensive midfield role. I wasn't convinced by Spector, and against the more "agricultural" style of the likes of Bolton, Dailly could be just the answer. I'd worry about playing him were we about to face Arsenal or ManU, but against the likes of Bolton & Derby he should be more than up to the task. He's fit (and from what I've heard from Southampton) in form
So I'd go
------------Green
Neill, Gabbs, Upson, Stella
Nobby, Any DM, Bowyer, Ethers
-------------LBM
-------------Cole

Our hope in this particular encounter comes in the form of Bolton's form. In essence, they havent been doing it on the pitch and results have not gone their way. We on the other hand have not been doing it on the pitch either, but have had the rub of the green (or the Robert Green) recently. Two wins and a draw will have helped our confidence, but sadly most of the players who contributed in those games are now unavailable through injury.
I will be cheering most vociferously for our team to emerge victorious, but can only foresee a fiercely fought battle resulting in a high scoring draw.[/quote

Really? I'd be pleased with 2 points, over the moon with 1 win and 1 defeat given our current predicament.

Seems like Anelka's going to be missing this one from what I've read, which is great news.

And Bellamy, Noble and Mullins could all be involved also.

Interesting squad. I assume Kyle is a mistake, and they mean Reid (unless anyone knows different). Good to see Collison and Tomkins at least in contention.

Was Etherington that poor? Thought he was our only player with any sort of creativity, to be honest. You could actually see on his face as he went to cross it the frustration at nobody being in the box a few times, though, which was funny.
I didn't find it that funny, I was too busy being frustrated myself!
