I think he is starting to look a lot more effective at last! I'd start him for the net five and see what he producees.

I think hes a lot more effective playing behind the striker
Agreed. He plays better as a second striker. For Wednesday give Cole a rest and play LBM and Ashton up front.

My original post was a little tongue in cheek, tbh, but I stand by the suggestion that its a rarity to hear Fulham at all in the BMU. So, when 'Shall we sing...' went up, I had a chuckle. We'll give 'em it back with a lot more force when we go to them, of that I am quite sure!!
Talking of the BMU. To the 50 or so who sang "1-0 and you ****ed it up..." please don't sing that again. 3-0 definitely, 2-0 probably, 1-0 embarrassing

It seemed a bit of a sloppy game in my opinion,, I didn't really hear the crowd from the TV,, there didn't seem to be much tension or electricity in the air. It didn't have any Cup tie flair in my opinion. fulham did the usual, score the first goal and then get outclassed and eventually lose all three points. I think Spector looked fantastic and for once I'm not just saying that,, I think he actually played pretty awesome,, attacking very well and was pretty solid in the RB defensively.
Better than Lucas in all honesty.

I was sat right behind the goal for that save and Deanos goal as well! Both were top class. The John Pantsil chants to my right were cracking me up I've have been to 3 games this season now, Deano has scored in all three and we have won all 3
In that case, you can come next week as well.

He's still relatively young (21) for defender, he'll never be that great going forward but is sound defensively across the whole back line and at a pinch in defensive midfield. His versatility makes him the ideal defensive substitute.

Excellent squad player. Its not like he is first choice in any position, so I can't see why people moan about him.

Why would any sane human desire such a photo.

Why would any sane human desire such a photo. He did admittedly look ever so slightly daft, imvh - nearly 40 years old - opinion. Joey - Phil had a reasonable game at the back (I expect him to these days, since coming on as cool as a cucumber at OT last season), but needs to get a calmer head coming forward at the moment. A decent run in the team will help him along.

I do recall a pretty slick move going forward in the right corner, dribbling past a few defenders,, can't remember what stage in the game that was,, I think it was in the second half.

I remember that, yeah. If we'd been playing a decent counter-attacking team, that could have been a problem.
He doesn't seem to lack confidence and doesn't shirk from the challenge.
I like his style to be honest. He's waited for his chance patiently, but not shown any nerves in coming into a well drilled defence.
