Official KUMB tour Toronto 2008Moderator: Gnome Re: Official KUMB tour Toronto 2008when i first came to 'ouston the only airline flying the route direct was b-cal.
i think it was a 707 (coulda bin a 727) but it was packed like sardines for 10.5 hours. when the stewie (they weren't called flight attendants in those days), had the meal/drinks cart in the aisle you couldn't use the toilet.... THAT was a ****ing nightmare... went back to england via the big apple on a 747. 3.5 hour lay over but it was comfortable ..... sod that... know what ya mean big fella !!!
Re: Official KUMB tour Toronto 2008
Bobby, They were chucking the 'promotional seat pads' that some bright spark had decided to give to each ticket holder . . . And, no news yet about any possible game with the Whitecaps this summer . . .
Re: Official KUMB tour Toronto 2008
Taking my kid with me too although I'll be out there before the masses arrive so I can decorate Toronto in claret & blue Be good to catch up again Coley and looking forward to meeting some of the other US regulars too!
Re: Official KUMB tour Toronto 2008
& have a look at us little Thai Boys too aye ??
Re: Official KUMB tour Toronto 2008Just been there. Was full of middleaged fat, sweaty, drunk American/Canadian birds with there even fatter and sweatier other halfs and fat obnoxious kids from Hell. Not a single (female!!!) breast on sight.....so Toronto is probably the best bet!!!!
Re: Official KUMB tour Toronto 2008Anyone know about another game which i believe is in Vancouver on the saturday before??
I am ready to book but would be pi**ed off if i did and there was another game
Re: Official KUMB tour Toronto 2008Neither has been confirmed. Although the All Star game seems to be a shoe in, as its being reported everywhere.
The Vancouver thing has gone quite so i don't know what to make of that
Re: Official KUMB tour Toronto 2008
I don’t think Fulham, Chelsea, or Celtic played any other games in addition to the MLS All-Star game.
Re: Official KUMB tour Toronto 2008
Talking of Celtic there is a strong rumour that they are playing a pre-season here in Atlanta around July 12th
Re: Official KUMB tour Toronto 2008
Not confirmed, with absolutely no details forthcoming from anyone connected with the Whitecaps. I can't get hold of anyone from the club this weekend (Seems like their PR and media contacts are all away for Easter) so I'll try and call again next week and see if the Vancouver match is going ahead or not. I'll post any info I get ASAP.
Re: Official KUMB tour Toronto 2008I hope tickets are not a problem.
Re: Official KUMB tour Toronto 2008
Oh dear, our game is imploding, isn't it?
Not if it was at that scale. .. if it was one person slinging a frisbee at one of the players, it would result in a ban and rightly so.
Re: Official KUMB tour Toronto 2008I remember that, got to be a contender for worst promotional item ever.
"I know we have not scored yet, but let go ahead and give everyone a nice round "frisbee" shaped seat cushion as they walk in. I am sure no one will be tempted to throw it if we do score"
Re: Official KUMB tour Toronto 2008you know the mini baseball bats that they give away at mlb games ?
well i have often asked parents if we do give-aways in england ? yeah, we give away those little baseball bats and call it "let's furnish everyone with a weapon" day..
Re: Official KUMB tour Toronto 2008Does anyone know if West Ham will get a ticket allocation for this game and, if so, can we get tickets through the club?
The reason I ask is that I've had a mate who works in marketing for the Detroit Ignition MISL side try and get me tickets and there's nothing doing. Most of the tickets have already been taken up by the season ticket holders. There seem to be a few tickets for sale through some of the agencies but, the starting price is $400.
Re: Official KUMB tour Toronto 2008
to be followed by "Beer Bottle Give Away Day"
Re: Official KUMB tour Toronto 2008followed by the "hard hat ~ save your noggin" day...
Re: Official KUMB tour Toronto 2008
