Re: KUMB Forum Player of the Month: August 2008
After due consideration I went with Faubert. Davenport got too tight and was turned by Roberts and Santa Cruz today which cost a goal and a booking and could have cost us more, but I have been pleasantly surprised by his overall ability, especially in the air. He should be able to play at this level.

Ashton, largely for the first 10 minutes of the season. Nobody's stood out yet, though.
Re: KUMB Forum Player of the Month: August 2008
If all the voters that said they voted for Davenport did, shouldn't he have more than 4 votes or is the chart just slow to update?
My vote makes it at least seven
Anyway, Ashton and Faubert were good shouts too.

Voted for Ashton, Last season I thought we wouldn't get the best out of him ever, yet he has proved me wrong and will hopefully pay back more of the £7M that we paid for him

Davenport for me, came from nowhere in the depths of our backup squad and has performed superbly

Davenport for me what a turn around in a player on his way last season. Hasn't made a fuss or complained to the media just got on with it and played well.

Have gone for Parker. Based mostly on yesterdays outstanding performance. Time to build on it now, and challenge for captaincy.

I voted before I saw any comments or votes..
I was thinking Davenport for reasons others have mentioned but decided to vote for Green
He edged it for me with his penalty save and his England call up.
Also made great save at home to Wigan and I loved the way he balled out Lucas Neill in the second half after a Blackburn player was allowed to get a cross in.

Re: KUMB Forum Player of the Month: August 2008
Watching all three of the games, I do wonder whether or not Carlton would be a better centre-half than striker and vice-versa for Calum!
I voted for Davenport because I've been reading all the 'you're ****' comments here - probably the same people who creamed over him in his first loan spell for us in the Championship. He showed his class there in looking a cut-above, now I wait to see if he can maintain his good form over the next weeks and months. Hope so - however the QM2 could have turned in the space he allowed Roberts for Blackburn's solitary goal, less of those rickets thank you very much.

I ballsed it up last night and inadvertantly removed all the entries ... if you voted in the first hour of the thread going live your vote won't have counted ... my apologies; the good news is that you can vote againPursey wrote:If all the voters that said they voted for Davenport did, shouldn't he have more than 4 votes or is the chart just slow to update?

Re: KUMB Forum Player of the Month: August 2008
20 minutes in 1 game was enough for me to give my vote to Bellamy. Happy with 6 points, but it could be us at the bottom of the table. If we can keep him fit and on the pitch (no red cards...unlikely I know), we will have excitement this season.
