Its become more than a hinderance now....its a joke.

I'm sure they look at our fixtures Headbanger

Its also funny how they don't give reduced prices when the service is taking twice as long :thdn:

Driving up for the weekend, the cost of any other method means the environment is the last thought. Suppose there are roadworks as well :(

Was thinking about doing this. Will probably go up Friday night (afternoon off work), stay in Durham with my mate, then head over early in the morning on the bus. b*llocks if I'm coming back after the game. Night on the sauce and back Sunday think is the best bet.

You can fly return on Saturday for £110 with British Airways. Free booze on the flight I do believe.

A night on the town in Newcastle is fuckin wkd.

The thing that annoys me up there is the food. They put gravey on everything. I see a kid in a hotel with a peanut butter sandwhich. And I could not belive my eyes when he put gravey on it. Could you imagine peanut butter and gravey.

Already bought the tickets but only seems to add 45mins to our train, now seems to arrive at 12.30 instead of 11.45

Really?? I must have missed that one. I thought we ate the same stuff as everyone else in the country. Although cheesy chips on the quayside is a must.

For that time of year I would recommend a nice pair of shorts and a vest top for evening attire..... with flip flops of course. It will be balmy weather up there.

I remember Sunderland about 10 years ago I went up for the weekend with a mate of mine who supports QPR. We stayed with some friends and he went to sleep on the sofa in front of the fire with every item of clothing (including a coat) he had taken with him for the weekend inside his sleeping bag. Can't think why they call us soft eh?

If you're gonna slag 'em off for putting gravy on everything at least learn how to spell it.

For the time we want, it is £66.98, at least 3 in the car = £200.94, plus 1 bag to check in, extra £15 ( for the stuff that can not be taken on the plane) plus parking £19.80. Comes to £235.74, £250 with petrol to airport and back. Driving to Stanstead, we are nearly 1/4 of the way to Newcastle anyway.

Taking the car wont come to that sort of money. Save some money for the drinking
