The A Team arrive via Frankfurt at 8am...The Dirty Dozen go via Munich and they are 4 hours behind us....then the "I couldn't make my mind up" Brigade arrive on the Tuesday Morning.

For those about to depart........must be dilemma time tonight. To swill or not to swill, gotta get that taxi in the morning, but the excitement of travelling is just what puts you in the mood. Try to avoid wot I did as a yoof and end up panicking round the house at 4am (still sloshed) looking for a passport with an hour to go.

Plus, it's going to b*stard chuck it down all next week in the UK. You'll probably find the humidity has the same effect though. Safe journey all!

Trouble is alcohol raises the body temp so not a great idea with the current swine flu checks being done upon arrival. I'm saving my drinking for when I'm off the place in Beijing.

I'll be sober with you me dear...the thought of staying at a Beijing Butlins for a week is not my cup of tea. I have, however, packed in my hand luggage, enough paracetamol for everyone travelling on the plane. I may also pack my nurses uniform and force feed the drugs to all the passengers

Except for Bobby O's 6 large pork pies, 14 scotch eggs, 12 bacon bites and 12 cooked English sausages. Will add those in with ice packs and cool bags just as we are about to leave. I spoil him - I really do.

BTW...we have packed the poker chips and cards too - Fionn's idea
