I guess that the 'late' returnees, such as Noble, Paker and Tomkins won't be risked from the start so I'll go with the following

Green
Faubert Collins Upson Ilunga
Stanislas Dyer Collison Boa
Jimenez
Cole

Anyone know a good boozer around the N1 area that will be open at 11am and showing this?

Spector, Tomkins, Upson, Ilunga
Noble, Dyer, Parker, Collison
Jiminez
Cole

Subs: Kurucz, Collins, Gabbidon, Faubert, LBM, Stanislas, Savio

I would like to see a strong team as this will be our first test to see how all the workouts and hard work in pre season will fair up, so for me the team is!

Why would you only field 10 men?

Nouble hasn't gone to China, so it'll have to be Hines!

I'd like to see us play two up front. Never been mad on the lone striker. Jiminez seems to be more of a midfielder rather than a drop off striker, preferably I'd like to see,

Green
Faubert, Collins (because I think he'll be first choice with Upson), Upson, Ilunga
Parker (holding), Dyer (right), Collison (left), Jiminez (front of diamond)
Cole, Hines (lets see what he's like in a front pair, too small for a lone role)

Noble and Tomkins left out as they may not be fit enough, Parker may also not be fit so Collison could hold and Stanislas on the left.

Fitness is going to be a big issue in GZ's selection here. With Tomkins, Noble and Spector only returning last week, and Parker playing his first game last Thurs, it wouldn't surprise me to see some/all of those left on the bench or subbed at HT.

I think now is as good a time as any to let Hines play up with Cole. I doubt we'd risk it in the first few games of the season - so why not now. Plus I would bet he'd be well up to impressing live on TV against one of our biggest rivals.

I'm hoping for something like this though -

........................Green....................
Faubert.....Upson....Collins......Ilunga
........Noble.......Parker.....Collison
................Dyer........Jiminez.........
.......................Cole.......................

Just to see how it works....we could give Dyer 60/70 mins and bring Stanislas or Boa Morte on to change things if it doesn't work.

Does anyone know the rules for this tournament? Are there limited subs, or is it like the Wembley cup where Barca subbed their whole team at HT in both games?

If it is only 3 subs then we need to have a serious look at the fitness of the players as 9 will have to complete the 90 mins (obviously). Probably worth not starting Tomkins, Noble, Parker and Spector given their relatively recent return then.
