Our future manager is... Avram GrantModerator: Gnome Re: Steve Coppellyeah but on the plus side , Man U wouldve had Lou Macari and Coventry wouldve had David Ike
Re: Steve CoppellI would love to see Pardew back!
Nd yes I do believe in 2nd chances.
Re: Steve Coppell
Just found out from his Wiki: "Mowbray was relieved of his Celtic duties as of the 25th of March 2010 with Neil Lennon taking temporary charge until the end of the season. It is being speculated that he is going to be hired by NASA as a new guinea-pig for the radiation exposure experiments. He was chosen for that job because of his striking resemblance to a primate and the fact that nobody would pity him anyway."
Re: Steve CoppellI'm kinda 50/50 on this.
The fella just irks me in a certain way. Would be an upgrade on Zola, though, so I wouldn't complain.
Re: Steve Coppell
Re: Steve CoppellIf Pardew ever comes near this club again I won't be coming back until he has gone.
Re: Steve Coppell
... and Greenwood (a former Chelsea player and Arsenal coach) wouldn't have been recruited by us.
Re: Steve Coppell
Would sooner **** broken glass.
Re: Steve CoppellI would like to see mad dog given a chance to try his luck at a higher level. He cant be any worse than zola.
Re: Steve Coppell
No. He really is mad.
Re: Steve Coppell
One thing about mad dog is he would get 90 mins out of them. They loved him at Brentford, he used to walk out like Ceasar.
Re: Steve Coppell
Can't be any worse than Roeder... Can't be any worse than Curbs... Can't be any worse than Zola.... History repeats itself so fast these days I'm suprised we're not sucked into some black hole style vortex!!

Re: Steve Coppell
Sounds all white to me.
Re: Steve Coppell
Oh honestly mate. If you think Zola aint got the tactical nouse to manage at this level, you are not seriously suggesting a guy who has only ever managed Brentford and Milton Keynes Dons has are you ? I 've seen some ridiculous posts, but that has to be up there with some of the most ridiculous. If Incey didn't have it, this guy most certainly hasn't. I would rather we had Neil Warnock to him and before I receive the bombardment of abuse for this, ask yourselves just one question ? Do you think he would tolerate the current ineptitude we are experiencing form the players ? No way, he would tell the players in no uncertain terms what will be expected of them and that they had better deliver too. Furthermore, I bet he would get us the required results we need to stay in this league and I for one, would feel a lot more confident about our chances of achieving that right now if he were, and if you are honest with yourselves you know he will too
Re: Steve Coppell
Then let's hope there will shortly be a good Event on the Horizon.
Re: Steve CoppellI wasn't totally against GFZ and I was prepared to give him a chance, but no, I wouldn't want an inexperience foreign manager again, no matter how much of a nice chap he is.
Bilic? No thanks, not until he's got some club experience. Di Canio? See GFZ comments. Curbishly? I'd take him back Pardew? Rather have Curbs Hughes? Certainly wouldn't say no! Coppell? Fine by me. Experience and intelligence. Might be the right level of appointment to steady the good ship Boleyn and build momentum towards greater things. Like mid-table safety....
Re: Steve CoppellCoppell is a much better manager than Hughes.
