Both Diamanti & Parker are back in the squad for tonights game vs Borussia Monchengladbach.
Piquionne flew out yesterday & should play some part in the game.
Who will give me odds that McCarthy,Dyer & Gabbidon will play the whole game without getting injured or needing
to run off to Kentucky at half time

How and why is Gabbidon still at the club and why can't we sell him ?

1. He's seemingly permanently injured.Puff Daddy wrote:How and why is Gabbidon still at the club and why can't we sell him ?
2. He's getting on a bit.
3. He's Welsh.
Re: VfL Borussia Mon'gladbach vs West Ham United(tonight)
Yeah, no one will buy him because he is always injured, even if we gave him away, no one would pay his wages.
Well, no one with a brain.

Centre back...he'll be asked to adapt to his new role.JonG86 wrote:Fascinated to see where he plays Diamanti (if he plays him) and how he asks him to play.

I thought Holloway at Blackpool was gonna put a bid in for him??Puff Daddy wrote:How and why is Gabbidon still at the club and why can't we sell him ?
Really sad tbh.
Gabbidon, was absoultely superb centre half & i rate him in the top 5 centre halfs,West ham have had in the past 20 years.
People forget how good he really was.1st season back in the Prem.Remember one game vs Thierry Henry he marked him out the game.
The only reason why his form slipped & was making mistakes cos he was carry all these injuries.

Re: VfL Borussia Mon'gladbach vs West Ham United(tonight)
Well, he's been with us five years, which pre-supposes he was given a five year when we signed him, which is, if so, absolutely remarkable in itself. If he wasn't and was given a three year, then he must have been given a contract extension, but that too opens a debate. Who was responsible for that and what on earth had he done to be rewarded with that ?IIIronss wrote:Yeah, no one will buy him because he is always injured, even if we gave him away, no one would pay his wages.

He wasn't at Posh as he was given extra time due to becoming a father

Its a shame. I recall him dominating at Chelsea (1st Dec 07) after his first major injury in January 2007. He then made a mistake in the League Cup QF against Everton, and he then missed a year and a half. Last year was a shame. He seemed to be returning to fitness, but then suffered another injury.
The wages he is on scare me. IIRC he is on something like 50K per week after signing a new deal in June 2007. If we could shift him, I would be ok with that. He will be remembered for his first year here, but the rest will be consigned to the bin alongside Dean Ashton, Mauricio Tarrico, Clive Clarke, and Kieron Dyer (when he finally gets cut)
Re: Borussia Monchengladbach vs West Ham Utd: match thread
West Ham United will be without their four representatives at the 2010 FIFA World Cup - England's Robert Green and Matthew Upson, Switzerland's Valon Behrami and the United States' Jonathan Spector - as well as Scott Parker, who returned to training this week after spending the early part of his summer with England's provisional World Cup squad. Frederic Piquionne will also not play after joining up with the squad for training on SaturdayCardiff here we come..... wrote:Both Diamanti & Parker are back in the squad for tonights game vs Borussia Monchengladbach.
