Hitz had to dodge a plastic bottle, whoever threw it had a Rory Delap like throw.

That was the fella with me, he was trying to get over the stewards for the muggy fans pitch invasion

Jordan Spence looks like a centre-back to me.

Felt sorry for Spence yesterday. He definitely got targeted by Wigan, and Hines drifting left him getting doubled up a lot of the time, and on a surface that people were struggling to stand up on he did well.

Could be one for the future.

From the MOTD highlights, it seems more of the same old to me. We're not too bad when we're on the ball, but still hapless and hopeless when we're not and a whole succession of managers have failed to address this

I was sitting in with the Wigan prawn sandwich brigade (well, roast beef but you get the point) and managed to get onto the pitch at the end. Not really sure why, but had a real Michael Douglas Falling Down moment.

The usual suspects (Bridge, Keane, Hitz etc) couldn't get off quick enough. I managed to speak with JC who was in tears, Tomkins, Hines and Cole. They were as gutted as we were. Wally and Keen were trying to get them off and down the tunnel, but they couldn't do anything with them.

To confirm his legendary status before he heads off in the summer, Scott Parker went over to some West Ham in the Wigan section and was getting pelters from a Wigan d*ckhead who wouldn't stop trying to dig him out. What did super Scott do? Push the tw*t over then offer him out for more. There was really no need though, the West Ham in the home section took care of that for him.

Outside the ground, Sullivan broke the news to us that Average had gone, Cole said he would stay and play championship football, Freddie said he wasn't sure if the club still wanted him and LBM said he'd get back to me when I asked for his place in the Algarve for 2 weeks in July.

For what it's worth, Spence was named in this PL team of the week. We seem to specialise in academy guys having a decent first game (Sears, Hines, Nouble) and then fading, but all the same I think he looked promising for next year

Goalkeeper: Wayne Hennessey (Wolves)
Right back: Jordan Spence (West Ham)
Centre half: Brede Hangeland (Fulham)
Centre half: Christopher Samba (Blackburn Rovers)
Left back: Jose Enrique (Newcastle)
Right midfield: Youssouf Mulumbu (West Brom)
Centre midfield: Luka Modric (Tottenham)
Centre midfield: Yaya Toure (Manchester City)
Left midfield: Charles N'Zogbia (Wigan)
Forward: Demba Ba (West Ham)
Forward: Darren Bent (Aston Villa)

Hitz came over to the away supporters at the end of the game with Parker and a few others.

Full credit to Bridge he run his socks off and even tried go for it at the end, running the ball up the pitch, he's on loan as well yet showed more effort than some of our proper players have all season.

Bridge is a terrible defender just backs off all the time and lets players cross/shoot, getting forward yea he's very good, shouldnt be a left back

Spence out of position, ok thats his secondary position but he is a centre back, was targetted but played well, like his interview on the OS today I'm guessing he's signed a new deal then?

If Cole said he wanted to stay fair play but I cant see it

Our support yesterday

Post by One Peter Butler »

As someone who hardly goes to games anymore, I have to say having gone yesterday that our fans were absolutely first class. Complete sell out, beer flying everywhere on the consourse, vocal support and simply magnificent support.

I have no doubt it has been like that all season.

Made me proud to call myself a West Ham fan.

I Like west ham thanks
What happened is nothing to be proud of but was one of them silly things that spiralled out of control with a room full of beer induced boys

yea just started making any noise when it was 2-2, bring 4 or 5 fans was it down to Spurs for a saturday kick off, not even 3 figures at ours, no neutral would want Wigan in the premiership and as for taking to the pitch, they do realise they are still far from safe? I shall be routing for Stoke and thats saying something

Just knocked down a ceiling tile didn't smash the place up but what happened after I walked out I can't vouch for
As for the away games next year yep I'll be there
As for the word ****ers I'll choose not to be categorised into that as there are many different cateregories of folk at the match yesterday that you would also class as a ****er where others wouldn't and visa versa

We've just been relegated and you seem to care more about Wigan's ceiling tiles, are you for real?
