Indeed. Maybe a disgruntled fan (or possibly Parker/Green) tried to strangle him?

It's time to rebuild now.

New manager in as soon as possible leave it no latter than the 1st of June to hopefully have someone in and ready.
Then anyone we would like to keep - like Ba and Hitz who supposedly can leave straightaway or have been offered new contracts - get their contracts sorted and signed! Then we're going to have to sell or release the likes of Green, Upson, Parker, Cole, Dyer etc... get this sorted and give the manager an idea of the sort of funds he will have available next season. Then the board take a complete back seat and keep quiet unless the Manager needs or asks them for something and let him sort out his team.

Then by the time friendly's for next season start we should be ready and have the main core of our team in place and give them time to settle before the start of next season. Then if we need an additional player or two then G&S need to let it happen and then we can challenge for the play-offs at least in our first season and hopefully be pushing for automatic promotion.

Things look bleak at the moment for us as we have had a poor season with a talented team, in my opinion, but a team that lacks the fight or drive that could've saved us. However with the right manager in place as soon as possible and the player's being let go being sorted out quickly then it should give the manager enough time to build a team that can bounce back. Today's result had nothing to show what's it's going to be like next season - we were down and had no fight within a team that is likely to change a fair bit in the next month or two.

It won't be easy but nothing where the mighty West Ham ever is! and it's now time to let board sort out a manager then we go from their.

Wigan would also be on 39 with an inferior goal difference in all probability = West Ham stay up.

2-0 up as well......
Of course! Thanks.

2-0 up as you say, fcku! Still, that seems to have been the season - even when we had a decent lead we were worried.

Shambolic result. At least when Roader was auditioning for the role in Middlesboro in 2001 his team put a bit of fight into the game.

Would people please get the claret and blue tinted specs off about Sears, and Hines and Carr.

Sears look like the only one capable of scoring today, from the wing where he isn't at all comfortable. Would rather see him play than Piq EVER pull on a jersey again....

As for Keen and his subs, no fkcuing wonder Grant never listened to him..Sorry Kev.....absolutely crap subs...

Sears at least looked a bit lively in spells.

What else is there to look forward to?

Well got that wrong .....thought we might play with some pride today

At least it shows we need a complete clear-out top to bottom.

New management ....Warnock or Curbshley for me...or even Chris Hughton

Lets go through the squad

Player Profiles
1 Robert Green Goalkeeper ..............................will be gone
2 Winston Reid Defender ..................................is he good enough for the Championship ???...don't think so
4 Daniel Gabbidon Defender ..........................will be off
5 James Tomkins Defender ..........................will need to up his defending next season
7 Kieron Dyer Midfielder .................................glad he will have gone
8 Scott Parker Midfielder ..................................will be at the Arsenal
9 Carlton Cole Striker ......................................off to Stoke
10 Jack Collison Midfielder ..................................will be getting back to match fitness
11 Thomas Hitzlsperger Midfielder .................will be off to Germany
12 Pablo Barrera Midfielder .................................back to South America
13 Luis Boa Morte Midfielder .........................should retire
14 Radoslav Kovac Midfielder .........................off to Europe somewhere
15 Matthew Upson Defender ..........................Hopefully nobody will want the useless c*nt
16 Mark Noble Midfielder .................................Will probably stay .....but needs to start delivering regularly
18 Jonathan Spector Defender ..........................Would like him to stay
19 Freddie Sears Striker ......................................Maybe see he will start banging them in regularly in the Championship
20 Julien Faubert Defender ..................................Thankfully off at last
21 Demba Ba Striker .......................................We will struggle to keep him ....but maybe his dodgy knee will mean he stays
22 Manuel da Costa Defender ..........................Will be off back to Portugal ..if not in Nick
23 Herita Ilunga Defender ..................................Will be off to Europe somewhere
24 Frank Nouble Striker .......................................Still here ...but will need to build his confidence back up
25 Junior Stanislas Midfielder ..........................Hopefully still here ....and starting to deliver his promise
26 Zavon Hines Striker .......................................I have my doubts he will make it
27 Jordan Spence Defender ..........................One to develop in the Championship
28 Peter Kurucz Goalkeeper ...............................Probably off
29 Marek Stech Goalkeeper ...............................as above
30 Frederic Piquionne Striker ...............................lazy git ...would like to see someone buy him
31 Ruud Boffin Goalkeeper ...............................may stay
32 Gary O'Neil Midfielder ..................................recovering from injury
33 Victor Obinna Striker .......................................back to wherever
34 Robbie Keane Striker .......................................another Premiership club
36 Wayne Bridge Defender ..................................as above
37 Lars Jacobsen Defender ...........................Squad player
38 Dylan Tombides ...........................................Squad player
40 Anthony Edgar Midfielder ..........................Squad player
44 Jordan Brown Defender ...................................Squad player
46 Jake Larkins ...................................................Squad player
Matt Fry Defender ...........................................Squad player

So we are going to loose most of the squad ....and have to build through shrewd buys and developing the kids.

Without stating the obvious we are going to need a Manager who knows where we can pick up the new additions to the squad that we need ...and do it on the cheap .....and get the team gelling really quick.

For me Warnock stands out as somebody who has done that this season ......with Paul Lambert the other choice......but I doubt we will get either.

So who's left ?

Well Fat Sam maybe ...but will we stomach his style ?
Curbishley .......but how is his knowledge of the Championship ?
Billy Davis or Dave Jones....both have tried and failed to get teams out of the Championship
and why would McCleish or Holloway want to come to us ?

Chris Hughton would be a good choice ....knows the Championship ..and knows what West Ham means to us all
Martin O'Neil would want too much money ....and unless he wants a total rebuilding job ...will not come here

so really can't see past Chris Hughton ....and hope the Board back him to get on with rebuilding this club.

Pissed on by a 72 year old midfielder that is out of contract. A complete ****ing shambles which summed up our season rather nicely.

utter gash, says it all that Parker was prob man of match and only on for 30 mins (Collison got it I think)viously

feel for Keen obviously loves the club will be a shame if he doesnt even stay on in any capacity as his contract is up, glad he didnt pick the likes of upson but all this talk of players dying for the shirt well Piq clearly doesnt give a ****, no Specs even on the bench was a huge disappointment for me if that means he's off, the other 3 clearly arent injured

and ****ing wigan stay up

mcleish nailed on now and i think that will be a good appointment

That was pretty dire today - - Kevin Keen did himself no favours - we have to look at the bigger picture, but that was another gash performance from all involved...

As said earlier people need to get the specs off certain players, today we had the right tactics and system in my view but it was just the players weren't up to

Spence/Tomkins - Both are very young defenders
Sears - Not Prem level
Hines - Wouldn't look out of place in League one

Great post

We need a decent goal scorer desperately, we need to keep Ba somehow.

I like Hughton too but I fear he won't be able to do the wheeling and dealing necessary. Right now, we really need a decent manager and quick so we can rebuild, there is tons of work to do. The championship will be no walk over and if we get it wrong we WILL struggle. The most important appointment will be the manager, it will all flow from that...

seven points, yes, seven points from safety. Less wins, more losses less goals scored and more conceded than last season.

We are rotten to the core,

that was the worst performance of the season..and thats saying something
