Great boozer for the Olympic Stadum

Post by Puff Daddy »

Did the Olympic site guided today and absolutely great it was too. Tremendous value at £7 quid a shot. Really impressive and a great tour. Boy was it hot though, so worked up a terrific thirst. On match days, I'm gonna head for 'The Queens Head' at the top of West Ham Lane and Statford High Road. Any Hammer will get a very warm welcome from Warren, the owner and a tip top barman too, even though he's Man U through and through and it was great exchanging views about our respective clubs. He is a good manc and talked very knowledgeably about football.

Amazingly, Manchester, but he told us, he always screens West Ham games. I guess he would have to in a pub in Stratford. He really knew his football

Living in north Hackney as i now do, the Princess of Wales on Lea Bridge Road will be my pre-game pub of choice. From there i can saunter down past the marshes to the OS.

Last time i walked down there it was open. You cant actually visit the OS of course, that will remain the case til after the games, but by the time we have it, it should be accessible.
