One line in that report, based upon stats we haven't seen of 2 years ago?

What consitutes an 'error'? What did the Opta stats actually say? Why did Capello pick him if the 'stats' were accurate?

Why do you hate English players?

Green is a good English keeper who is a laugh with the crowd and is more than good enough for us what ever division we are in. I'd be over the moon if he signed a new deal with us. If you had your way our squad would be full of foreign fairies

Just had a look (re some of our new signings) at the Africa Cup of Nations qualifying. Senegal and the Ivory Coast have qualified, which means that we could potentially lose Demel, Faye and Diop for a month this season.

FWIW, Faye and Diop haven't been called up for a while, but Demel played in August.

The wonderful (.....) news is that Congo are out so Ilunga can stay...........

Or Belgian Congo, as Herita fondly remembers it in his formative years!

I dont hate English players. I hate the west ham fans cumming over a bang average goalkeeper who wouldnt be worth the wages to the premiership clubs that have a worse keeper. He wouldnt get into most prem team, thats why no bids for him.

I didnt even mention where he's from. Your the one obsessed with English players. E.G 'Green is a good English keeper.' Why the need for the English part? Does he get extra points fot being English?

Have you considered West Ham fans are supporting Green?

Interesting that booers get stick but now it appears as though giving support to players can be bad as well...

Supporting him is not calling him our best ever keeper, ****ing off Capello for dropping him when he should never have been near the England team in the first place and pretending our awful defence for the last 2 seasons was none of his fault and it was all that of the managers/defence.

Greens kicking is woeful in terms of accuracy and speed, he puts us under more pressure than any single outfield player as a result. He was at his best under Zola (IIRC) when he rolled the ball out.

In an era where Stockdale, Fielding and Loach are in the top 5/6 keepers in the England squad, I'd say that's a bit harsh!

Yes he does get extra points for being English. We support an English football club with English owners, an English manager and very much an English squad. That is what I like the most about West Ham at the minute and I'm proud again to say I support the club

That sentiment might not mean much to you but it does to me. I'd personally never go to The Boleyn to cheer on 11 foreigners

Good for you. That doesnt make him a less average keeper though.

Which is what people were talking about, his goalkeeping ability not his nationality.

An average English keeper is a hell of a lot better than an average foreign keeper

They were "near" it, even then due to the complete lack of English goalkeepers. For the WC, England had Hart, James and Green. Outside of that there was only Robinson, Carson and Foster. Obviously Hart is #1, but I don't think that Green is any worse than anyone else in that list. Before, during or after the WC.

And money saved somewhere leave the potential for it to be spent elsewhere.

Green is not average, he is outstanding and been our saviour many more times than he has made errors. Our most important player this season.
