Yes, his best game ever in a West Ham shirt and normally I think he is sh*t, although he still can't cross the ball ! Made Nolan look the fat bloke down the pub making up the numbers

Meanwhile on the Internet, loads of kids who have watched Green St and The Firm (not even the original) eagerly awaiting it all to go off. It worries me a bit that some kids can't disassociate from the Movies. I watched Escape to Victory last week, but don't expect Sly Stallone to be selected ahead of Green when we next play Germany

Thought we did a job today. As a premiership unit last season we would have lost a game like that.

I love reading all the opinions how bad the commentators are then you get Puff larging it up about his predictions based on what he is hearing.... its classic. Its nearly as funny as the moron with specialist coach contacts who lives in South America!!! It just emphasises my opinion around being there....

anyway in summary:

Faubert was one of our best players
Is Carew injured? the second half was crying out for him
Looked like we should have had Tomkins straight off, didnt look like an injury that you could run off, hope the damage is not to bad as we will miss him.
We were disappointing (fans)
The old bill looked far less intimidating in their little blue hats Bwahahahahaha
The only real Wall faces i saw were about 3 hours after the game (all the others were about 10 yrs old)
The faces of the Chinese tourists at London Bridge were a picture

PM, I would suspect that many would not have docking issues anymore , the rivalry from those days perpetuated throughout the 70s & 80s annd the very fact that games between the two have been relatively rare recently has given them a bit more spice (oh and the ridiculous over hype by the media) .

As some have already observed we have more in common with their values then some would care to admit.

We now need to get on with business as usual starting with PBoro.

Overall , I'm glad this fixture is out of the way .Listening to 6 weeks to Millwall or whatever at other games is tedious : they are punching way above their weight in terms of importance .

The game was far from a classic with neither keeper really having to earn their corn, it was typical huff and puff derby football , long on sweat and short on skill .For long periods in the first half our midfield didn't look capable of putting their feet on the ball , whilst at the back Joey O'Brien was targeted relentlessly , and was clearly rattled for around 20 minutes .In fairness he regained his composure at half time and had a much better second half . Matty Taylor had an extremely quiet match, producing little of note and was rightly substituted , but it was the same old problem of a huge gap between Carlton and any supporting player for much of the game that made us look out of sorts .The switch to 4-4-2 when Baldock came out gave some relief in this respect .

Faubert for me was MotM , but even he rarely delivered a final ball of any quality , and Faye stood strong at the back , making one or two key challanges .

We got the point , which in old money would be acceptable : draw away, win at home , averaging 2 points a game and you'll get promoted , and we are on track for that .However we shouldn't be too suprised to see the top third of the table stuffed with sides with similar ambitions .

To that end, I'm not sure we can continue with the bizarre experiment of playing with 10 men most weeks .
