Thought I'd be a nerd and give one of these a whirl. The joys of all that free time and nervous energy following games by text

Can't see anything but a loss here, we are lucky to be where we are.. We are a lot worse than our position suggests.

Is there a race or competition to see who can start a game thread the quickest as one game finishes.
Re: Crystal Palace FC v West Ham United - match thread
Does anyone else think it's time for Noble to be "rested?" There's no shortage of effort from him but quality is another matter. His game seems to be going backwards. His man of the match award against Peterborough beggered belief. Again tonight he gave the ball away on too many occasions.

Drop some of the ancient statues completely - Bentley, Carew, Diop.
Sadly, I cannot see an energetic central midfield option (except O'Brien maybe)- and everything flows from that - lack of midfield control, lack of support for Cole, the need for 4-5-1 We could do with another wide left option too - one with some pace..
We've overdone the slow, one paced, central midfielders and 6'4" target men at the club.
2-1 West Ham.

You just know we are going to play 4-5-1 and get a good result after last night.
I haven't seen us conceed a goal away from home yet so that is a good start.
We haven't looked like losing a game away from home and I can see that continuing even with statues all over the midfield, the players seem more comfortable and relaxed with the formation away from home.
A comfortable win would be good after the last three games and then a break to work on some things.

I wrote on the eve of the season the player I was most excited about seeing this year was Cristian Montano , I think Sam could do worse than recall him .bubbles1966 wrote:Sadly, I cannot see an energetic central midfield option (except O'Brien maybe)- and everything flows from that - lack of midfield control, lack of support for Cole, the need for 4-5-1We could do with another wide left option too - one with some pace..

Your comments on the midfield otherwise - in terms of energy , I think are spot on .
I'd leave out Nolan .

I thought he had a good game on Saturday. If we are looking at dropping one of the central midfielders then for me it is either Lansbury or Nolan.iron57 wrote:Does anyone else think it's time for Noble to be "rested?" Demel. Tomkins Faye. Ringo
O'brien Diopp
Faubert. Bentley
Landsbury/ Nolan
Cole
This you would think would put an end to us being overrun in midfield every game
And give our attack minded players licence to get up and support cole!
