Ok then HH whatever you say mate. When have I said I want a billionaire and trophies? Never. I am basically highlighting what some ITK posters have put on here before about cash rich people coming on board. I haven't said I WANT TO BUY SUCCESS have I? In fact all I've talked about with regards to the OS mainly is lower the costs and getting the kids in. I couldn't care less if we won anything or not.
So far we're not allowed to bring up age or sentiment according to you it's b***ocks.
Oh and West Ham have produced exactly what Spurs did a mock up of the inside and out.
All Spurs did witht he OS was dump the Northumberland project ontop of the Olympic Park.... Not exactly the same situation we're in is it?
You and Mr Kahn keep up your distrust and hatred based on fantasy
I'll keep mine too if thats what you want to call it.
You said only a couple of posts ago
"I think we might get a surprise if we get promoted and some cash rich people come into the club it might add some funds to our stadium conversion plans"
Now you may not emphatically say it, but you're certainly alluding to, as posters like Gavrosh and others have openly admitted they feel is an important reason for the move, that the OS is far more likely to bring us a billionaire. And you didn't answer my post on this comment.
This sentiment stuff is b*llocks. It's a crap dig at those against the move that has no validity (certainly in my case at least). Is MYWHUFC ok with a move away from the BG as long as it is with fans consultation and is purpose built?
Sp*rs would've taken the proposed site and rebuilt it, or at least very close to that design, on the OS site. There was a statement the running track would go. That we know, which is more than we know about our own bid apart from the track will stay and we only have £90m to make updates/tweeks, as that is all they will be. Our images inside the stadium disguise if we will have a running track. How can G&S&B accept to be tenants yet they have no idea what the plans are as it's out to tender? What if none of the proposals would suit what the supporters would want, do you reckon they'll say "thanks but no thanks" to the OS? b*llocks they would. They'll plough ahead as the move to the OS improves the value of their asset, short term at least. That is why I have no faith in this lot doing what's best for the supporters.
Mine is based on what I know or can reasonably expect will be the case (e.g. we will have a running track, we won't own the stadium, we will target the tourist over the regular supporter with the end to STs already being openly admitted to, etc) and also G&S&B's other actions, not words or constantly reaffirming they're fans (e.g. undermining managers, undermining STHs, their media-whore like pursuit of personal publicity, etc). I was there cheering their name at Brum away like of course I'm sure you were. Then they joined and have
ACTED like c****. I was wrong on them, and that Brum bloke who had the piss ripped out of him was right on a number of things.
Apart from wishful thinking, what makes you think London's 4th biggest club will need a 60k stadium (the same size as Arsenal, Sp*rs and Chelsea propose) by 2020 (i.e. after the novelty wears off for the likes of people's missus who all of a sudden want to watch West Ham at the OS) and one we have to pay rent on? What do you reckon the % will be long-term supporters who regulalry go home and/or away whatever division we're in, and what % will be day-trippers to fill 60k? What paid ticket attendance would we get if we're Prem top half/mid table (a pretty good position for us) playing Wigan on a cold Tuesday in February? I've heard responses mainly with nothing but wishful thinking, dreams of arab billionaires, and "just like it and lump it", to make me think actually this move could be a good thing.
