Re: Barry Hearn
I used to play snooker at a club in Romford. Had loads of tables, stayed open through the night and had a great atmosphere. Then Hearn bought it, turned it into his exclusive Matchroom showrooms and we had nowhere to play. Summed the ****er up.

When he talks about " a victory for the little man" I can't help but think he's describing his wiener....
Re: Barry Hearn
“a victory for the little man” was that Hearns attitude when Taylor “beat” steve davis in the world snooker championships in 1985....

[quote="Napoleon Solo"]There's nothing wrong in renting, the vast majority of Hammers fans live in council flats, get free maintenance, repairs etc, terrific.
Man City rent what was the Commenwealth stadium and that arrangement has not done them any harm!!

Comparing the Olympic Stadium with CoMS is like comparing a pork scrathing to caviar. When they built CoMS they already had a plan to change it into a football stadium.eastsider wrote: Man City rent what was the Commenwealth stadium and that arrangement has not done them any harm!!
