Rio coming back would be like shagging that fit bird you shagged way back in your youth. You have fantastic memories. Then the opportunity comes up years down the line for you to shag her again, only now she has had a couple of kids, things headed south, and it's just not as good as you remember.

I'd rather have the good memories.
So you'd prefer to sit there thinking about sex you had 20 years a go rather than f*** the **** out of a milf

Ye good one :?

You don't get it do you? Course I wouldn't turn down shagging a milf, but if it's a milf that went like a rocket when she was a teenager, and now she is more like a sack of spuds, the memory will never be the same.

I always hoped we'd see Rio back here before he finished playing, but the way he's been breaking down the past few years makes this an absolute no-go for us IMO - the amount it would cost us to bring him back is too risky.

We have to be sensible when/if we go back up, and while paying over the odds for a crock and being overly-sentimental fools are both very West Ham traits, we should do our best to avoid succumbing to both of these instincts regarding Rio

Exactly how I feel Facey. I like Rio, got a lot of time for him, but signing a 34 year old injury prone defender, who will be 35 by the time next season ends is asking for trouble. If it was any other player than Rio, we would be screaming blue murders about signing yet another has been, and the reality of the matter, Rio is fast becoming a has been. He has lost his speed, and he has never lost the habit of fallling asleep occasionally, but his 34 old body ain't got the reactions any more to make up for it. We have two very good young CB's, who, if the club play it right, could be one of the best central defence partnerships we have had for donkeys. That's if we can keep hold of them of course.

With a heavy heart, it's a no from me. A couple of years ago, yes, but in 9 months time. No thank you.

Sums up my feelings exactly regarding Ferdinand.

We should be building for the future.

I agree. And what better way to bring on our young defenders and tighten up our defence than to have Rio at the clu. Get him in

Pay him silly money a week for him to be injured for half of it. No thanks. Surely we've learnt our lesson with has been players looking for a last pay day.

As DL said - a year ago I would of said yes. In 9 months time - no thanks.

I do understand what your saying and agree it could go tits up (or in your case, tits down) but chances are he is just as good now as he was when he left us. In my opinion it's worth a gamble if the price is right

That's it really. As long as it isnt silly money a week it probably would be worth the gamble. Cant see it though.

Free transfer. 1 year contract. No more than 20K a week as he will be injured for half of it.

Read my other posts. I wouldn't offer him silly money

50k a week for 2 years with a minimal transfer fee sounds good to me. Just think how he could bring on the likes of Reid and Tomkins. I reckon he could turn out to be a top signing for us on and off the pitch. I mean, surely one of these days a gamble has to pay off for us

I mean, I'm being told left right and center on here that Kevin Nolan is doing a good job when in fact he's on 50k a week, playing **** but is very good at shouting
