West Ham Utd 3 Derby County 1 (26/11/11)
Vs
Saturday 26th November KO 5.20PM, Boleyn Ground, Green Street, E13
Current Form
(Last 8, H&A)
West Ham United: DWLWWDWW
Derby County: LDDLWLLL
West Ham United have taken 10 points from their last 5 home games. This is bang on course for Allardyce's 2 points per game target where as Derby County have only taken 4 points from their last 5 away games. West Ham currently sit top half in 8th in the 'Home' table for the whole season, securing 14 points in their 8 games at The Boleyn Ground, just under the manager's target.
Derby are sitting a mid-table 12th in the 'Away' table for the season, after amassing 10 points from their 8 games on their travels.
Men To Watch
West Ham
Carlton Cole and Sam Baldock. Our two top scorers are hitting form, and look a threat to any defence in the league. Big Sam would be crazy not starting Cole, who has put in two consecutive game changing appearances after coming on from the subs bench.
Derby County
I don't have a clue.
Silly Fact.
There could be friction in the Brady/Peschisolido household, as our vice-chair's husband made 91 appearances for The Rams between 2004 and 2007, scoring 20 goals.
DL Prediction
My match-thread winning run will come to an end, and we will share the spoils with a point a piece.

Re: West Ham United v Derby County Match Thread
Derby at home is usually a comfortable win.
Can anyone remember losing to them?
And Marc Keller for the great away goals thread.
They seem to be losing monotonously lately. Something like 2 or 3 one to us IMO, setting us up for the big one away at Boro.

Yes mate on Sky, can't see a huge attendance for this, trying to get to it but it's the missus godchilds 1st birthday on that day and she's having a party so I've got to try and worm my way out of it! :lol:Hammer Matty wrote:Is this on the tele?

Will be looking for a pub to watch this one in. Going for a relatively comfortable 2-0. Cole starts and has a blinder.

Re: West Ham United v Derby County Match Thread
I don't. This will be a tough game, make no mistake about it. Nigel Clough will have his troups set out to contain us and and we are not playing well enough to trounce anyone at the moment. BFS is not a gambler, so he won't drop Faubert and bring in Demel which would give us a completely different dimension and which would provide us with much needed width and an out ball on the right, so we can expect much of the same stifdled play. If we win, I reckon it will only be by the odd goal and 1-0 is the most likely result.'stone hammer wrote:Reckon we'll hit 4 again assuming Carlton plays. 4-1 prediction

If you've got Demel in, you don't need Faubert as well.Maefteda wrote:Green

BFS is not a gambler no. However, we are at home, Cole and Baldock up front hopefully, which is proving to be an effective partnership. I don't see the need to change the team by bringing in Demel as the team is winning (just about but on a good run nonetheless).Puff Daddy wrote:

Derby started the season well but they have now lost the last 3, conceding 8 goals in those 3 games. It's there for the taking I think mate

Got to keep Baldock in. He's the one guy who makes any kind of runs into space.

And Marc Keller for the great away goals thread.
I'm sure we lost 2-1 at home in the last time we were down. Didn't Gavin Williams score? I remember watching it Lunchtime in the pub as it was on Sky. A true West Ham performance
