Well that's a lie. Piq is **** and lazy and doesn't do anything to help the team, so how can that be true? I mean, I have read that on this site with my very own eyes, so Piq can't have had anything to do with it.

CC worth his weight in gold bless him. 5 assists - pretty good. The best must have been the one setting up Collison. lovely touch.

I mean, I have read that on this site with my very own eyes, so Piq can't have had anything to do with it. Yep, those 3 assists? All luck. In truth Piq should have come out of that game with 2 assists if Faubert didn't completely mess up that headed chance, it was a lovely cross. Piquionne gets into quality positions but he just cant finish, if he could he'd have a couple more goals this season. He doesn't get into those positions by luck from standing in the same place for the entire 90 minutes, so he must work for it. Sure, Piq is probably our worst player, if you take into account all of footballers attributes, but we have a team of very good players. If we had our full compliment of players fit and playing, Piq probably wouldn't get on the bench but for a 33 year old fringe player, he's not all bad!

Was looking at the official Football League stats on this earlier - Matt Taylor comes out top for us with 6. Tied with him near the top of the table was Junior Stanislas.

I'm surprised Stanislas hasn't banged in a few goals.

He's getting a bit of a barracking up there on one of their forums for the same things as here - doesn't track back enough etc - but agree completely about the goals..... always good for one every few games here. Definitely better than Piq on the left wing.

West Ham 1-0 CoventryJames Tomkins wins the ball inside the centre circle before playing it wide left for George McCartney. Tomkins continues his run and gets on the end of McCartney's diagonal cross. He beats Chris Hussey in the air and heads back across goal for Kevin Nolan to head in, beating Joe Murphy with a header that goes back across the goalkeeper and bounces inside the far post

West Ham 2-1 Nottingham ForestWest Ham took the lead when the referee Steve Bates awarded a penalty after Guy Moussi blocked Jack Collison's cross with his arm and Noble thumped home from the spot.
As chaos spread, Chris Gunter misjudged George McCartney's deep cross and handled in his own area. Mark Noble, more delicate this time, sent Lee Camp the wrong way. 7 Matthew Taylor 5 Julien Faubert 5 Carlton Cole 4 Frederic Piquionne 4 Jack Collison 4 George McCartney 2 Henri Lansbury 2 John Carew 2 Joey O'Brien 2 James Tomkins 2 Winston Reid 1 Herita Ilunga 1 Robert Green 1 Mark Noble 2 Unassisted Goal

Not that's it's defined specifically anyway but just to let you know, the actual Football League won't give assists to players that won a penalty.
