Re: Peterborough United V West Ham United Match Thread
More importantly, here are 3 reasons I hope Chris Whelpdale plays on Sat.
1. He split his scrotum in a match - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/16338426
2. I used to go to school with him
3. He split his scrotum open in a match - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/16338426
4. The official Peterborough website has his date of birth wrong. - http://www.theposh.com/page/ProfilesDet ... 83,00.html
5. I've just found out he doesn't play for Peterborough any more.

Charters - Across the road from the Stadium, its a big boat.
I am unaware of any non friendly away fan pubs......
The Brewary Tap is near the train station and there is a Weatherspoons for those arriving early. The Weatherspoons is about a 5min walk from the station but i couldn't give you directions. A couple of other pubs around the Weatherspoons aswell.

Peterborough sign a new left back to debut against us it seems, try to ignore the snow on the pitch in the photo

The Brewery Tap normally opens at noon, but apparently the Landlord is especially opening at 11 because he knows a couple of our lads from there. I've had it on reasonably good authority that if you want a more appropriate boozer for the 'Irons, Irons' / 'Bubbles' pub group sing song, etc, then you are going to be better off going somewhere else like the Wetherspoons or the boat, rather than there.

Ah b*llocks. Hope they can get it clear for Saturday. Really don't want this to get postponed. Got train tickets already. As Wembley 1966 said it won't reach freezing point, Saturday morning so we should be O.K.AJ wrote: try to ignore the snow on the pitch in the photo

Minor correction the cathedral is 12/13th century (took about 120 years to build), it was built on the site of an earlier church which was destroyed by fire which itself had replaced the 7th century one.Doc H Ball wrote: The crest mirrors the Gospel of St Peter. The crossed keys represent the keys to the pearly gates and the motto 'Upon This Rock' is taken from Peter's words, 'On this rock I will build my church' - a reference to the town's 7th Century cathedral.

Update - Light snow for Friday and now -1 on Friday night. Sunny on Saturday!LincolnshireHammer wrote: Ah b*llocks. Hope they can get it clear for Saturday. Really don't want this to get postponed. They've got some sort of matting down over the pitch that I assume is keeping the snow off it. Assuming that they can lift it off first thing Saturday the temperature should be warm enough. Probably won't be a pitch inspection until they've lifted the matting.

Peterborough are notorious for calling off matches late, but they will want it to go ahead as its a sell out and big pay day. Fingers crossed.

Need to win this one..
Takes the pressure off of tuesday then where a draw would suffice but a win and we'd be rocking..

Re: Peterborough United V West Ham United Match Thread
Gotta be the ten who started (and didn't get sent off) last Sat for me - plus one striker. No idea if it should be Baldock or Maynard.
Now, granted that Millwall are utterly useless, but keeping Faubert in an attacking role after what was probably his best-ever performance for us seems like a no-brainer for any rational manager.
Let's see what BFS does then . . .

Yep. Snow forecast for Peterborough on fri/sat
And I'm led to believe they don't have under-soil heating at London Road
Fingers crossed chaps

Anyone know What the policy is on refunding train tickets? or letting you use the originals for the rearranged game?
