An average thinker would play Tomkins through the middle and McCartney if fit, at left back. But you've reversed them. inspired.
I'd be amazed if he didn't just get them them wrong way round..

Never have I been this confident about West Ham.

I really think we will give em a battering.

Valentines Day Massacre? It would be fantastic to win and pull away from the rest at the top...but we are West Ham. I am hoping 2-1 and a nervewracking game watched half the time through my gloved fingers!

Let's hope not mate, got a good feeling about this one, could be a tight one, although I'd like us to give em a good hiding.

Big game. Table starting to look bunched up, with 3 points between 3rd and 9th. We need to maintain a gap after the great work of last week. Love to see us win this and then stride away from the rest.

I think everyone saying Soton will fall away in the other thread have jinxed us for this match.

Im also astounded at people wanting Tomkins in midfield against a team who can actually pass in midfield.

Demel & Potts in changes back-line for this high profile a match??? Not for me... Im all about a consistent back four if possible and bringing in others one by one as and when.

If one up front, certainly CC for me... I would have Vaz te as a wide midfielder for this type of match cutting in and 'dropping bombs' (copywrite Keegan on Scholes)

I would think that the crowd will play a huge role on Tuesday night...

Would like to think that if 442 there would be a place for Baldock, who having seen running his socks off against Forest in an otherwise woeful performance, I think should fill his boots at this level

I hope we have an answer to the new threat posed by a Lambert/ Sharp partnership. Also Lallana is looking good and he was not playing last time we played the Saints. It could be a very entertaining game.

I still remember the last time we played them at home, night game and Beattie scored in the 90 min. :(

West Ham James, Winterburn, Repka, Dailly, Pearce, Schemmel, Carrick, Sinclair, Cole, Di Canio (Moncur 77), Defoe.
