As soon as you raise your hands above another players body its a red card. That how I see it any way
I would be absolutely amazed if the red card gets over turned

Re: West Ham Utd v Southampton: match threadFor the amount of fuss this sending off has caused you'd have thought Taylor had flipped Sharpe over and shoved his cock up his ****ing arse.
Re: West Ham Utd v Southampton: match thread
So, what if I usher you away to your chest, with no violence or aggression, but in the ensuing melee, my hands are guided - involuntarily - to your face, at which point a picture is taken of that exact moment. Rars smashes YWN in face in heated exchange. **** off ![]()
Re: West Ham Utd v Southampton: match thread
Put me down for 3 tickets.
Re: West Ham Utd v Southampton: match thread"He is also guilty of violent conduct if he uses excessive force or brutality
against a team-mate, spectator, match official or any other person" http://www.fifa.com/mm/document/affeder ... _10565.pdf However Sharp should have been shown two yellows, one for the penalty and one for the bit afterwards
Re: West Ham Utd v Southampton: match thread
So, did he?
Re: West Ham Utd v Southampton: match thread
In the opinion of the referee , yes . The referee is the only match official who can make a decision .
Re: West Ham Utd v Southampton: match thread
Which is what we're debating. So, did he?
Re: West Ham Utd v Southampton: match thread
"My hands were guided involuntarily onto her tits, M'lud."
Re: West Ham Utd v Southampton: match threadOnly by the referees own judgement by Sharps reaction by falling to the floor.
You will notice there is no mention of hands, face or any other body part. The referee has to decide whether on this occasion Taylor used brutality to prevent Sharp getting to Noble. Sharp conned the ref no doubt, but Taylor is also an idiot.
Re: West Ham Utd v Southampton: match thread
Difference being Taylor did use aggression........ Just saying ![]()
Re: West Ham Utd v Southampton: match thread
Funny you should say that: Player to be banned for groping referee in disgusting sexist 'cupping' act... ![]() (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZP1N4PWneMI)
Re: West Ham Utd v Southampton: match thread
What is Sharp doing confronting both the ref and then Noble ?? If Noble would have pushed him away...the exact same thing would have happened. Taylor tried to stop him first and it didn't stop Sharp...its when he continued to threaten that the push came. I personally think Soton came onto the pitch to make the most of every and any situation....inc where their players were dropping like flies and crowding the ref on every occasion. Their behavior all night was a joke....and the ref fell for the majority of it. Just look at this lot though...what a bunch of clueless one eyed mugs http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.p ... Highlights
Re: West Ham Utd v Southampton: match threadThis can all be explained by one simple answer Romford.
There manager is a scouser.
Re: West Ham Utd v Southampton: match thread
I don't think anyone has really said that Taylor wasn't stupid and deserved the red...apart from the muppet in charge. Its Sharp trying to get him sent off after the ref and lino (both with great views) have given the pen. His actions have caused the whole situation..the running at the ref then threatening Noble...so to see him only get a yellow is very poor. He has tripped Noble while clear in and about to shoot. It was these antics all night which wound our players and crowd up all night...and made players like Carlton Cole so livid with them that he had to be bought off before he got a red too.
Re: West Ham Utd v Southampton: match threadTend to agree with Romford. I wish players would just not try to get other players sent off. It's pathetic and hypocritical because everyone moans when they are at the raw end of a bad decision. Sharp didn't go down holding his face but he decided to fall over and then spent ages on the floor.
Taylor shouldnt' have kept shoving him in my book though - when you do that you are forcing the ref to do something about it and sooner or later you're going to come up against one willing to send you off for it.
Re: West Ham Utd v Southampton: match thread
I agree but can we really expect anything less from the modern day footballer?! Had Noble done what Taylor did I would have seen it as a harsh red considering it was Sharp who approached Noble but Taylor had no need to do what he did. He was obviously trying to look the big man being ex Pompy and all that but ending up costing us the points and more importantly he ruined what promised to be a real decent game. For someone of his experience to do what he did is ****ing ridiculous Last edited by Yea Why Not on Thu Feb 16, 2012 11:46 am, edited 2 times in total.
Re: West Ham Utd v Southampton: match thread
I totally agree..to hear his cobblers after the game was sickening. Only one person sent that team out to dive and cheat. I also know what mugs their fans are...I had the joy of drinking with them in The Central for an hour where i had a meeting with someone. I had to pull one to one side (the same size as me ) and have a word in his ear because of his behavior every time a Southampton coach went past..i can honestly say they were the biggest bunch of muppets i have come across. As many know...i have loads of family down at Fawley just outside Southampton (plenty of the East End moved down there to work for Esso) and they slag off the Saints fans hugely all the time. I have never really seen it until the other night. All in all....i think we all know the score with Southampton FC now. Lucky to finish in the play -offs would be my view...
Re: West Ham Utd v Southampton: match thread
Taylor was defending his captain...daft but the way Sharp was charging around, understandable. If one of their fans had behaved like that to me...i would have done far worse than what Taylor did. Just watch Sharp again...he loses it.
Re: West Ham Utd v Southampton: match threadSharp didn't lose it. He pretended to lose it. Then when Taylor made the move he went down and stacked the odds in Southampton's favour
If he had properly lost it he wouldn't have gone down like a sack of **** first sign of contact We'll say he was acting like a ****, others will say it was clever play Bit of both for me.... ![]()
