I'm praying that just for a change, Mr Entertainment opts for a defensive 4-5-1 for this one, and plays for a draw. And no goals from open play either.
Please Mr Entertainment, don't let me down.

However, I see no reason for Sam to tinker with formations for such a big game away from home so I expect to see...

O’Brien Faye Ried McCartney
---------------Tomkins
Faubert Noble Collison Vaz Te
------------------Cole

Maynard Lansbury Baldock O’Neil Demel or John

I think that's a winner, winner, chicken dinner!

Because of the sendings off we have played a 4-1-3-1 and got a win and a draw, so why not stick with that and put our 11th man up front to partner Cole ?

Blackpool are, i think, second in the form league at the moment. Dangerous time to play them as their confidence will be high and they are a very attacking side. However they do play this weekend, therefore we'll be fresher and we'll have a lot of condifence ourselves.

Sounds like Demel will be back and i expect him to go straight in at RB with Joey moving to DM and Tomkins back in the back four. No other changes need to be made as we have our full first 11, aside from Nolan and Taylor.

Image

Subs: Faye, O'Neil, Lansbury, Baldock, Maynard.

In an ideal world i'd like to see Baldock or Maynard start but our defensive shape is going to be very important to stave off Blackpools fluent attack. Hopefully now we have two pacey wingers, it'll look more like a 4-3-3 and it is a team built to play on the counter.

Not going to predict the score but I think Vaz and Cole will notch for us. COYI :raver:

Big Sam still holds a grudge against Blackpool and he will go all out for a win (pretty please).

lets be honest. Faubert has been one of our best players this season. Give him credit where credit is due. Oneill is still recovering from a very serious injury and never set the world alight before his injury.

I find it ****ing ludicrous that we aren't starting Maynard.

Seriously, talk about killing the guys confidence already ffs.

Drop that complete and utter donkey Cole for gods sake.

Green

Demel
Reid
Faye
McCartney

Tompkins

Faubert
Noble
Vaz Te

Maynard
Cole

Subs: O,Brien, , Collison, Landsbury o,Neil

Was at the Southampton game and was really impressed with Marnard and Vaz Te when going forward. The latter needs to hold position when defending and was all to easy to get pass when attacked but does add height at corners. I was please to see he was quite vocal on the pitch. Faubert was busy and covered a lot of ground but just did not have the pace or craft to go pass the defender when in good positions. If O'Neil was fully fit I would have him instead, but Faubert deserves to keep his place based on his last couple of matches. 3 :1 West Ham.

Killing his confidence? If Nicky thinks he should be starting every game in a promotion chasing side, he's got too much confidence.

However I think he understands his position, he would have done his research and knew he was coming to a club that currently play 451/433 with one center forward, he knows Cole's having a great season and would have to seriously impress to jump ahead of him in the pecking order.

We have 8 games next month and 7 in April and with Carlton's dodgy knees, i wouldn't be suprised if he and Maynard rotated every game.

Since Maynard has arrived, we have played 2 games. He's hardly 'out of favour' just yet!

Everyone seems to have forgotten Sam Baldock remember earlier in the season he looked our most likely goalscorer when fit and given a chance
