We are due to give someone a spanking and I think Watford will be on the end of it.

I reckon we will get a completely new front three: Taylor Cole Faubert and he will move Collison back to the middle.

but what's the point in nackering him out for other games when we have other strikers that can do a job?

Has to be..
Green
JOB Tomkins Faye Linda
Faubert Noble Nolan Taylor
Maynard Cole

Subs: Boffin, Vaz Te, Collison, etc..

Bit of squad rotation, must start with 2 against Watford. Vaz Te looked a bit knackered and Collison's shooting was a bit off..

I hope Collinson scores a couple, I don't think I can take another 90 mins of the people around me ****ing him off every time he even looks at the ball! :thdn:

Probably because they haven't got Piquionne to abuse.

Just for shits and giggles. Baldock looked a great prospect when we signed him. What's happened, he's hardly had a look in?

So he isn't tired, but might be if we keep playing him?

I guess the point is that (to me) he looks comfortably our best striker, hence he should be playing the majority of games.

I would stick by Maynard, but those were two shocking misses yesterday, could have been very costly on another day.

I thought I'd read on here before he signed that he was a right cocky sod who thought an awful lot of himself, whereas if anything he looks like a bloke lacking in confidence a bit at the moment.

Without doubt, Maynard should have scored yesterday but I though he played better than he did in the Palace game. I would stick with him for the Watford match but I would like to see Baldock up top with him.

And although Faye has been excellent I would give him a rest for this one. We need to keep him fit and sharp for some Middlesbro and Reading.

4-4-2

Faubert
Collison
Maynard

Is this a wind up?

On a separate note I thought we played far better without Faubert on Sunday (that could be a coincidence)

I've never been a huge fan of Faubert but i think our game slows down considerably when he's not playing wide right, yesterday being a prime example of that, unless you play Taylor left and switch Vaz to the right i don't see a better option than faubert on the right, especially with O'neil still finding his fitness after a bad injury, i don't mind him in this league if i'm being honest!

Don't see how it could be a wind up, it's very likely :? . I would have thought, however, that Vaz Te will keep his place and Taylor will be on the bench, unless Faubert does not recover, in which case expect Vaz Te and Taylor either side of Cole. Trying to second guess Sam when he has far more options is difficult...but when fit, Faubert will start.

Maybe time to try Baldock and Maynard together. They could be like Cottee and McAvennie. Certainly busy enough to put pressure on Watford and make life very tough for them.

Genuinely difficult to select. Taylor at LB and Vaz Te LW looked very promising but Vaz Te has looked a bit ineffective past few games and I think McCartney has had a really good last few games.

Difficult to find a comfortable way to fit Nolan, Noble and Collison into one team...Perhaps Collison can move to the right. But then that's a very slow midfield!!

Would stick with Maynard, but if he doesn't bang them in then Cole gets his place back. Would like to see Baldock get more than a few minutes as well.

We have two games coming up now against opposition who we should really be attacking. I assume both will do a version of bus-parking. So over the two games we really should see Baldock getting at least 45 minutes and Maynard should get at least a game and a half, plus surely Carlton needs to figure more.
It's then just a question of whether Sam plays Nolan as a second striker with Taylor and Vaz Te in the midfield or whether he plays Nolan deeper with two strikers.

Maynard Cole
Nolan
Vaz Te or Taylor Noble Collison

Or

Maynard
Nolan
Vaz Te Noble Collison Taylor

Cole will 100% start this game imo, he hasnt started the last couple of games. Would be surprised if we played 4-4-2 tbh i cant see it happening. If we get an early goal then i think we will win comfortably. However, the longer we struggle to break them down, the more frustrated the crowd will inevitably get, which will make the game harder.
