sorry for any mistakes the pc has gone again the sun Big Sam safe That was the message from vice-chairman and SunSport columnist Karren Brady.
West Ham are in third spot and four points off an automatic promotion place after Saturday's 4-2 home defeat by promotion rivals Reading. But Brady said: "He will still be in charge next season — definitely.
"We certainly haven't given up the prospect of automatic promotion or promotion, if we have to, through the play-offs.
"That is still our No1 target for this season."the star BIG SAM ALLARDYCE TOLD: YOUR JOBS SAFE
SAM ALLARDYCE has been told his job is safe even if West Ham don’t go up to the Premier League, while midfielder Mark Noble could miss the Easter games against Barnsley and Birmingham with a thigh injurythe mail Big Sam's staying put: Allardyce won't be sacked even if West Ham fail to go up, insists Brady
West Ham manager Sam Allardyce will remain in charge even if the club fails to secure promotion this season, according to vice-chairman Karren Brady.
The Hammers are winless in six home matches after Saturday's 4-2 defeat against Reading, which left them four points adrift of the second-placed Royals with six games to go.
The Upton Park club were among the pre-season favourites to secure an instant return to the Barclays Premier League but Brady insisted Allardyce's future does not hinge on achieving that goal.
She told BBC Radio 5 Live: 'Yes he will still be in charge next season - definitely.
'[Chairman] David Sullivan wanted Sam - they have a very good relationship.'
The former Bolton boss has come under fire following a run of just two wins in eight matches in March, while his style of play has done little to endear him to a fan base that prefers passing football.
Brady admitted the defeat to the Royals was difficult for everybody but was hopeful they could recover.
'We were hoping to win but we certainly haven't given up the prospect of automatic promotion or promotion, if we have to, through the play-offs,' she said. 'That is still our No 1 target for this season.'the express BIG SAM ALLARDYCE IS RIGHT ON FANS
SOME West Ham fans are outraged that Sam Allardyce has called them deluded. They were upset when I said it in this newspaper seven years ago.
Then, as now, they had been relegated from the top flight. Then, as now, fans believed anything short of automatic promotion was a disgrace.
They could not see that being in two successive play-off finals was substantial.
Other, equally proud clubs would have killed for that. But the club of Bobby Moore, Geoff Hurst and Martin Peters “deserved” better, said many.
They are also the club of Marco Boogers, Titi Camara and Florin Raducioiu.
In their 93 league seasons, 43 have been in the second tier. They have not won anything for 32 years. They do not have a God-given right to canter to promotion.
One word for the assumption that they do is delusional. Another is arrogance.

Sam Gets Vote Of Confidence, Di Canio To Hammers?
West Ham manager Sam Allardyce has been given the dreaded vote of confidence which has put Swindon Town supporters on high alert.
Hammers vice-chairman Karren Brady told Sky Sports, 'Yes he will still be in charge next season - definitely.'
This normally means one thing, Promotion or you're out.
West Ham fans have made it perfectly clear that Swindon Town boss Paolo Di Canio is the man they want in charge by chanting his name at recent matches.
Di Canio would be a no lose risk for the Hammers management.
First of all they would appease fans by bringing back the messiah which would soften the blow of not going up automatically, secondly even if West Ham don't go up next season, Hammers fans are unlikely to turn on Di Canio giving West Ham management more time to get back to the Premier League.
Di Canio has told Swindon Town that he is here for the long term and is currently discussing a new contract with Town however most fans know it would be near impossible for Di Canio to turn down the chance to be West Ham job.
To most fans West Ham is the only job he would turn his back on Swindon Town for.
Let's hope Big Sam takes the Hammers Up and we don't need to worry!

Hahaha! What the hell is this?? I don't know about the majority of West ham fans but from the ones I know and have spoken to, we don't 'expect' to be automatically promoted. Alot of the recent booing has come in because of the style of play and the tactics, not because we aren't performing like we should be steam rolling every ****ing team. Cheers CH

That express article is an absolute joke. What an ignorant piece of journalism. All we want to see is football you can take pride in, and what is wrong with aspiring to play the right way?
The fans have been chanting ''we're west ham united, we play on the floor'', not ''we're west ham united, we should be running away with this league and in the champions league final in 2 years time'' - obviously though that is because its not quite as catchy i suppose.

Allardyce said the target was to average 2 points a game, and we could only lose a certain amount. Nolan has said that they wanted not only promotion but to win the league.
We have heard constant comments coming from the club this season saying that promotion is the only goal and how important it could be to do it.
So when West Ham fans listen and believe we are in a shout of promotion, as we were before the drawing streak, we are called deluded and arrogant.

Haha that express article made me chuckle, who is this Clown? Most of the West Ham fans I know don't believe we should be automatically promoted and would never boo the team unless it was obvious the players were not trying. Makes me wonder if this was written by a Pallace or Millw*nk fan.

One big charge in the last few games and we can still finish top 2, Reading are not that good, we should and would have beaten them had our set up been better. Get it right and we are up, otherwise it's the play offs. Thanks CH as always top man.

I firmly believe that this season we should do what ever it needs to get promoted, and that is why Fat Sam is at the club, its all that matters, get promoted however pretty or ugly the football is. Then after being promoted its time to be a bit more choosy about the style of play, not that Ive seen much in the way of style over the last 20 years at Westham the moron boo boys are a disgrace and just seem to want to sabotage player confidence, and have a go at a manager who has very nearly succeeded in getting us back to the premiership, the next few weeks will show exactly how successful, but they certainly ain't helping the situation, because they are too stupid to support, and just think disruption is going to help...idiots
