If there are showers later go for Giles Cross, 18-1. Jockey, Paddy Brennan, said yesterday prefers soft going.
Killyglen 16-1
Neptune Collonges 33-1
Going presently good to soft. Good going means the 'best' horses will be there at end. soft means the stayers/outsiders stand a chance.
Postmaster @ 125-1..a few people think stands a chance on soft-ish going!

£5 Synchronised EACH WAY
£1 According to Pete WIN
£1 Black Apalachi WIN
I don't pretend to know anything about the Grand National but it is good fun! On another topic, what does the -1 mean after teams?

Ah right, so if they win by a 2 goal margin or more, you win?

Synchronised threw his rider and went galloping off the wrong way round the course shortly before the race started as well, didn't he?

Been saying all week i couldn't understand why it was even in the national. It is a gold cup winner of just 4 weeks ago give the bloody thing a break.
May well never have won another gold cup but there were plenty of races for it before tackling the totally different challenge of the national.
If jump horses had any stud value it would never have been running today.

As sad as the Synchronised story is I was so proud of Neptune Collonges. A great horse with lots of class and as honest as you like.
His owner lost the great great One Man at Aintree and this was for me the fairytale story of the National.
I had Planet of Sound who gave me a great run for my money, but Dickie Johnson was just a little too keen on him.
