Heard there was a little trouble after the game, didn't see any myself, just a mass of police moving swiftly down towards the station. Brighton's forum mentioned some stuff about trouble, couple of their supporters had bloody noses apparently.

I don't quite see why it doesn't have a place on match thread when it happened at the match.
And I'm not saying it's the same thing but there are clear parallels aren:t there?

Well I certainly didnt see that coming! What a barn-storming performance! Why couldnt we have played like that starting about 2 months ago? Unfortunately it seems too little too late. Unless of course we manage to take this momentum into the play-off games. Then it wont all seem for nothing.
Either way a great win yesterday

If I believe that, then Shirley either Maynard or Baldock would be more of a threat than Carew. Especially with Carlton still playing up top.
Fkcu me I'd be more of a threat than Carew...

The difference could be that a banana is a singular fruit, whereas the Brighton fans were a collection of fruits?

FWIW I agree with you. Not sure what DL's problem is.cornishiron wrote:I don't quite see why it doesn't have a place on match thread when it happened at the match.

I thought that was funny as well, most of it seemed light hearted.Lord Snuffsbury wrote:"We can see you holding hands, we can see you holding hands"

A bit of banter between rival fans being compared to chucking bananas in the 70's. Chalk and cheese. That's my problem.

Is that black chalk vs pink cheese?

So you are comparing racial abuse with banter with a rival set of fans who are probably not gay anyway who the majority took it in a god humoured way. I don't see an influx of complaints to the police, do you?cornishiron wrote:

Bob
Based upon the last two cameo appearances it would be the thrift shop.................
Besides I think he's only on a one year deal, would be disappointed to find it's a two year deal....

Re: West Ham United v Brighton and Hove Albion: Match Thread
i appreciate brightons footballing philosphy and the fact that they like to knock it about on the floor but i was absolutely staggered by the fact that their keeper seems banned from booting the ball upfield. Seriously, if you get a chance to watch the whole game back again, just focus on their keeper, every time he caught the ball he ONLY throws the ball out to his full backs or drops it to the floor and passes it. Even the goal kicks he just passes the ball out and refuses to kick it long upfield.
Now I do admire this effort of playing good football yet they still do it even when they are heavily pressured and their is no one for the keeper to throw it to, yet he throws it out anyway. Madness! all teams have to do is play a high pressing game and they play into your hands just like we did yesterday

Think I mentioned earlier somewhere, if a team knocks it around at the back you press early. If not drop off and look for the 2nd or even 3rd ball.

Where does discrimination end?
The "way pay your benefits" chants offended me as I know a couple of poor, unemployed lay abouts.
Disgusting, and I will lodge a counter claim against them.
