Because FL rules state you can only have five?

But play offs are different, could end up going into extra time and penalties. I just dread to think that Big Sam is not going to include a goalkeeper in these games.

They still operate under the same rules. I do agree that we should include a keeper for these matches though.

I understand, but I think they ignored the play offs when making this decision. Teams will easily be able to afford the sub bonuses with the money generated by TV for the play offs. With games likely to go further than 90 minutes surely it's more suitable for teams to have more options on the bench.

I think its pretty much a done deal now though (2,000 EACH), TBA fully tomorrow by CCFC and WHU!

Cardiff have only been given 2,000

I hope that does not mean that they will keep most of the STB as a sterile area.

I fancy our chances against any of the three in the plays offs. I know all the bollox about the pressures of play off blah blah blah but we have scored 14 goals and conceded 6 during the six regular season games:

West Ham 2 - 1 Cardiff

West Ham 4 - 4 Birmscum

West Ham 8 - 1 Blackpool

Given our performances in the last few weeks, I recon we can turn over any of these. :crest:

As I said to one of my Wednesday mates yesterday, having put 4 past Blackpool in each league game I expect to face them in the final and get stuffed - it is the West Ham way dontchaknow

I take the point proph, agree to a degree. Just this phrase is banded around rather too easliy, I've probably said it myself. It's as if correct thinking gets thrown out of the window though. It almost gets portrayed as nothing more than four teams pulling straws.

I don't believe the semi/finals are lotteries really. There is time to repair mistakes, change your tactics, have a re-think. Of course it doesn't provide the 46 game examination that generally ensures the best get promoted but it's not quite a lottery, not the semis anyway. The final ? well, probably much more so.......

Anyway, I think far left ....

There is a statistic that should worry three of the four sides who begin battling it out in the Championship play-offs on Thursday night – no team since Leicester City in 1995-96 have been relegated from the Premier League then promoted through the post-season lottery the following season.

That's food for thought.

Here's the fuller article...

There was a statistic that said WH have never won more than 11 away games in a season too.

Also I can see everyone at the FA Cup final is standing behind the goals, but what will be the case with us? Anyone think we will be standing in all areas or not?
