v Monday, 7th Mat 2012, KO 4:30PM, Boleyn Ground, Green Street, E13nPower Championship Play Off Semi-Final, 2nd LegWest Ham go in to the second half of this tie with a comfortable 2-0 lead over thier South Wales rivals. Two goals from Welsh International Jack Collison topped off what was a fine and disciplined performance by The Hammers in the Cardiff City Stadium on Thursday night. History states that no team has ever failed to get to the play-off final after taking a two goal lead in to the home second leg, so the omens are looking good for West Ham to make their first appearance at Wembley since the League Cup Final of 1981, and their first in the new stadium Playing to an already sold-out house, The Hammers will be hoping the occassion and the atmosphere will spur them on to another victory, however, Cardiff will also know that should they get a goal early on, the home support will become edgy, and as has been seen already in the last season, that soon transfers to the players. West Ham will be hoping that they can score early on, and put the tie to bed before Cardiff have any chance to get back in it. Wembley, here we come.

Know its been said a bit this season but the crowd have a very important role on Monday. I know they are proffesional but in their hearts the Cardiff players will know they have a mountain to climb. We will get chances , our finishing will be crucial in putting the game to bed. ....talking of bed , sweet dreams , up at 5 in the morn.

West Ham 0 Cardiff 1 (Earnshaw, 70). Twenty minutes of blind panic, three Cardiff shots off the post, Nolan sent off for a wild lunge before massive celebrations.

Hope we play 4-4-2 and go for it. 4-5-1 just gets messy. They score an early goal, we could find ourselves under the cosh. COYI

Can anyone tell me why still only five subs allowed ? IIRC last year for the semis AND the playoff final it was seven subs... Have they changed it for this year or what ? Would love for Big Sam to have that extra bit of flexibility on the bench for the next two games...

I'm going to this.
Going for a 1-1 draw with Carlton finishing them off in the 90th minute.

I would rather take a decent win and continue our form into the final.

A pity this is on so early - we don't all get Monday off!
A 44th minute goal from Cardiff make it a nervy half time, but two quick goals from Carlton and Vaz Te settle the nerves and we're on the jubilee line to Wembley

Right at the start of the season, Big Sam said, under him, west ham wouldn't lose a 2 goal lead. I fully trust him. Coyi
