I hope the author doesn't mind me posting the link, but for me it sums up Mr Redknapp in all respects. And UTJ hope its ok with you?

AMOCS posts on here once in a while and IMO is a very knowledgable West Ham fan who in the main speaks all worst of sense.

It was not only the shameful the way Redcrapp treated a so called friend, more importantly it was
the disgusting way Brown and the club treated a West Ham legend.

I wonder what Redknapp,s feelings would have been if West Ham had offered Lampard the managers job whe they sacked him?

Not sure if this is the right place but heard an interesting story this morning from a guy who was playing golf with Justin Edinburgh & Neil Ruddock some year back and Saggy Chops phones Edinburgh and told him that he had a contract for him at £5k per week for 2 years at Portsmouth. Edinburgh explained to Saggy that his knees were fecked and that he would be of no use to Portsmouth but Saggy told him that was OK but he had to pay Saggy back £2.5k per week in a brown envelope

That's a bit unfair to bring in my principles, I don't know half as much about the situation as you guys here, all I'm doing is just offering a counter argument and being honest that if offered my dream job I'd give it some thought. As someone else said there were no protests when HR was taking you to 5th in the league or bringing through the most exciting youth team in the country, it's not like loads of 'principled' fans walked out and demanded the return of Bonds. Tony Carr seems to genuinely think he didn't mean to stitch up Bonds, maybe he did I'm not HR's his greatest fan or anything like that but no one has yet presented the full story.

It is absolutely right though that if he didn't want to take the job he should not have taken it and he looks full of **** there..

Mickeyg - that doesn't sound like someone talking bull in order to name-drop and sound important at all. Not at all. Nothing far-fetched in it whatsoever.

And Frank Lampard said to him 'are you serious? What's the point? If you don't have it someone else will if you don't want the job. You've got to take it'.

And isn't that the green light for every snake in the grass that has ever lived. That's how they rationalise their treachery.

Harry is and always has been the ultimate schemer. Far from the rather bumbling dimwit he portrayed at his trial.

A fox, the fox.

We played good football when we had Keen and Robson on the wings.

Bonds might admit himself he wasn't cut out for football management but that still doesn't excuse his mate stabbing him in the back.

That's simply not true, Modern.

There were plenty raising concerns, as these examples from our archive attest:

I somehow feel that the 'victory' if that's what it was was symptomatic of the way the game was going a the time and has certainly gone since in that honourable, un-complicated, decent types got swept aside and replaced by ruthless opportunistists.

Spot on Dave. I also think Oldun has summed up really well how a lot of people feel. I've never read or heard Bill say definitively what happened, because I don't think he can prove anything. Only the Board at the time and Harry could confirm what actually happened at a meeting that Bill was supposedly excluded from. But, I'm sure that I've read somewhere that where Harry was concerned, Bill said that he was a bad judge of character, and they've not spoken since.

I also agree with Dave that 'straight as a die', honourable men like Bill have largely disappeared from management. The 'Machiavellian', arrogant, mind games type of men like Mourinho now dominate. Look at Wenger's post match hand shake with Paul Lambert today - so petulant - he might as well have not bothered. I could never see Bill do something like that. It's an absolute tragedy that Billy Bonds is no longer seen at West Ham.

I've heard that Mr H will be offski regardless whether he gets CL spot or not. He has a £10m release in his contract but him and his lawyer were going through it and tried to imply to Levy that it was null and void.

Thanks for pointing me to those articles UTJ they are really fascinating (I admit I was wrong), particularly the first one about his coaching and relying on certain archetypes of players like Stuart Pearce and using it to cover himself. Funny he says he is not a coach though as you can find an article from his time at Spurs where he claims he is a better coach than Sir Alex!

Those articles are almost exactly what he was saying during Spurs recent run of poor form when he said the reason we were losing was because the squad lacked certain types of characters, he claimed this is why he got in Ryan Nelsen and Saha, signings most fans found laughable and typical harry signings. The real reason of course was insane tactics and favoring certain players at the cost of the team but alas...

I'd just like to say also thank you for letting me post here, I really do see myself as 'part hammer' these days and never come on here to wind anyone up or be anti WH, I hope I never give that impression and apologise if I ever do. Cheers mate
