18 months ago he was probably thinking about knocking it on the head, now hes a star player for a Premiership team. Fair play to him

So true

I´m loving the sounds that are coming from the club. The players seem to be really happy, not only because of the promotion but with the whole infrastructure of the club from Tea lady to Big Sam to Gold and Sullivan. I have a feeling there are some good times ahead for us in the not to distant future.

I thought Taylor came across superbly, very articulate, spoke about his young family and how important it is to have a settled life away from football, he said he supported the Spurs as a young un the same as his dad ( I bet most of us support west ham because of our dads) nothing wrong in that, wants to stay at west ham for the rest of his life
Really enjoyed listening to him but can't stand keys and grau!
Well done Matty will be an important player for us next season Quality delivery and experienced

tea lady got made redundant I think, relegation is harsh especially on the back office staff

woops  , thought Nolan was talking about the tea lady that had been at the club for 38 years, probably someone else at the club.

Still sticking to my point though winky-thingy

Agree, excellent interview, thanks for the link.

After the Hull home game, I'm pretty certain that he was on the train from Waterloo to Weymouth sitting in the first carriage but in normal pleb class seating. My lad clocked him as he got on and walked past us, saying 'I know that man from somewhere and he looked a bit oddly at us'. (we had club colours on). It was only when we got off at Southampton Airport that I realised it was a suited and booted Matt.

I assume that he doesn't live down here on the South Coast but maybe was visiting.....anyway, he's certainly a different breed of footballer, travelling on public transport.....and his car choice used to show he liked being different in public at least' with the Peugeot 207 in the players car park at the Boleyn Ground on matchdays in amongst the Range Rovers.

kids eh, was that a rumour about him going out with Will Young then?

good player lets hope he can stay fit and keep laying on the assists, has to play left mid tho and not leftback, might mean Vaz has to play up top with Cole 442
