Honestly, I'd give him a couple of starts in the pre-season on the other side of Cole to Vaz Te.
If he fails again, loan him to Brighton, most of their team are Spanish.

Who?

If we were going to keep him, a season in the Championship would have been the time to gel him in.

This is a good point actually, maybe letting Faubert go has left a gap in the squad that maybe Sam thinks Barrera can fill?

In the Mexican article, his agent claims that Barrera is "excited about the chance of being able to play in the Premiership again and that he appears to be in West Ham's plans, although a lot will become clearer after meeting West Ham's representatives at the end of the week". He is unlikely to return to Mexican football (no money), his aim is to stay in either England or Spain, preference is for England.

Get rid asap.

And to anyone who still wants to give him another chance, one word, Aldershot.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Sam play Faubert at right back the majority of the time? meaning that Barrera wouldn't be filling the gap left by him. (maybe Sam feel Jordans Spence will fill fauberts space in the squad for another right back?)

I think Barrera is more than good enough for the premiership but(as previously mentioned) would have to wonder why he wasnt mixed in with the team this season? Unless he wanted to leave and not play in the Championship?

No, Faubert was played mainly in midfield by Sam as RM, but was played as cover at right-back many times this year, but I think his primary position was on the right wing.

Wouldn't mind seeing Barrera come back, to see whether he has earnt any experience whilst playing abroad. However, he's probably not going to cut it in the Prem. Embarrasing to think ManUtd got Hernandez at the same time as we got Pablo, for £2million whereas we payed £4million.

It's a strange one this. He looks like he's got pace, skill and can shoot and cross. Although don't remember him doing jack in the prem last time round. Wouldn't mind him being given another chance. Sam might be able to get his confidence up. However most likely thing to happen is he'll go to another league and never be heard of again.
