Re: The Great Escape to Dresden (Pre-Season tour)My plan: Do an EasyJest or Ryanair to Berlin on the 24th. Stay with some mates. Get return train tickets to all the games. Fly back from Berlin on the 30th.
For reference, here's a map of a round trip. Berlin (A / E) to Erfurt (B) = 304km Erfurt (B) to Dresden (C) = 218km Dresden (C) to Cottbus (D) = 107km Cottbus (D) to Berlin (A / E) = 129km ...and for other reference for a day trip, Dresden to Berlin = 193km You can also see where Leipzig is, just off the route between Berlin and Erfurt. ![]()
Re: The Great Escape to Dresden (Pre-Season tour)Seems like i know what im doing with Leipzig...
Sadly "Know it all" on WHO obviously doesn't. As for me making shedloads of money on my trips...i always get a pat on the back from all my punters. I never cover my costs on these trips...because they are a holiday for me too although i am ALWAYS working. Very easy to mug off on a forum....but not as easy to take 47 bods to Beijing during a health scare (of which i got a clients kid out of quarentine). Bad Darts...show your face
Re: The Great Escape to Dresden (Pre-Season tour)Ticket info for Erfut
http://www.lms-ticket.de/rwerfurt/ajax.aspx?sub=Veranstaltungen2&id=843cdac0-5927-4a09-8139-3fac08a800c5 On sale 13th June according to the official West Ham twitter feed. Also, I don't know if other browsers do this, but if you download Google Chrome, it will translate pages for you, although the translation doesn't always make much sense.
Re: The Great Escape to Dresden (Pre-Season tour)The trip to Colditz will be done on the Friday on the way to Dresden....

Re: The Great Escape to Dresden (preseason tour)
I don`t now exactly, because i never visit Colditz. Informations from: http://www.schloss-colditz.com/ "In addition to our daily tours we offer an Extended Tour about the P.O.W. camp from April to October The tour starts in front of the escape museum at 10.30am and 02.00pm every day. Out of the season on demand. Price 15,00 € adults 10,00 € children children under 10 years free Experience the daring, ingenuity and power of the former P.O.W.s and enjoy the tour. We are looking forward to your visit at Colditz Castle. normal tours: 10.30am, 01.00pm, 03.00pm" If you want to do the tour 02.00pm, i plan 1 hour 30 minutes for the tour (I expacted this time, don`t now exactly), than 1 hour shoping, eating and so on and finally 1 hour 15 minutes by coach too dresden (consider it is friday. In the last 3 week fridays you need more than 1 hour only for the motorway part between "Dreieck Nossen (A14 to A4) and Dresden). So you arive Dresden earliest at 05.45 pm. Kickoff 07.30pm. So it looks like that you can`t enjoy Dresden and this would be a shame. Because Dresden is much nicer than Leipzig. You must look the Frauenkirche with the new Spire cross that was sponsored by the people of Great Britain and their royal family and crafted by the son of one of the pilots who bombarded Dresden at the end of the war. Hope my english is good enough. Last edited by Elminster on Thu May 31, 2012 1:19 pm, edited 2 times in total.
Re: The Great Escape to Dresden (Pre-Season tour)For Mr Know it all on WHO...shame the site wont let me join eh !
For Bratislava... The Flight is actually £150 ( and you can put "now" on it but if you were a travel agent you'd know you can't put the cheapest price at the start down and then charge everyone else more) The Hotel Radisson Blu Carlton with Breakfast is 95 euro (78 sovs) Chuck in the 2 transfers and a day trip to the Game (all with complimentry drinks)...and the help from the tour guide. 285 looks good value... Enjoy yourself in your 2 star Ibis, the local bus from the airport and the taxis to and from the stations (and the train journey). How much you saved ?? Simple maths isn't it....
Re: The Great Escape to Dresden (Pre-Season tour)BTW...everyone who has ever booked with me knows the situation with all the licenses and what cover they have...so don't try that one.
I don't make money off of anyone...and have sorted 1000s on here. What have you done...? Do yourself a favour...don't you dare try and blacken my name. I'm at every game if you have a problem...and you know who i am.
Re: The Great Escape to Dresden (Pre-Season tour)
You can do the first two games....and i can arrange you getting back 28th evening Let me know
Re: The Great Escape to Dresden (Pre-Season tour)Keep the good work up Mr Romford great away days for all.
Re: The Great Escape to Dresden (Pre-Season tour)
Your 3 flights are booked mate
Re: The Great Escape to Dresden (Pre-Season tour)I have reminded the tour guide that if we kidnap him and take him on the piss all night, he'll still be expected to be on meet & greet duty early morning outside the breakfast room.
Don't worry, we'll keep an eye on him
Re: The Great Escape to Dresden (Pre-Season tour)Is £425 including all 3 games Romford? (As in we'll be there for them.)
Going to see my old man tomorrow so will try and convince him its worth going.
