Anyone else feeling underwhelmed now it is there in black and white?

Norwich, WBA, Stoke, QPR, Fulham, Southampton, Swansea, Reading, Wigan, Everton, us, Villa, Sunderland. I thought we had got out of the championship

Fixtures look much friendlier than last time, the early season was a nightmare we never recovered from then.

Didn't we have Villa on the first day of the season last time we went down? :|

Would someone who is IT savvy be able to do one of those outlook things, so all the fixtures go into your calendar? I don't know who did it last year, but it was brilliant....

I've got a feeling that people will be debating the value of being solidly 12th or 13th with little to play for come mid/late March.

Fantastic first 9 fixtures - followed by a sickening next 7.

We couldn't have asked for much better than we got. First 2 games against clubs with new managers, @ Home on the opening and closing games of the season, Boxing Day & New Years Day matches in London. Brilliant. I can't wait.

On the fixtures I'm pretty happy with what we have to start with. Could have been a lot lot worse.

We need to make sure we have a decent tally come the end of February because we'll be right in the sh*t if we are struggling coming into March

Difficult fixture list for us in my opinion..

Lets just hope we get off to a flyer

I think I have been looking at this the wrong way so far, I have been looking at our players and thinking not good enough, too slow, too old etc and thinking we were in massive trouble. But 2/3 of this league are ordinary in the extreme when you actually look at them so not good enough, too slow, too old is pretty much par for the course.

We will be organised, professional and difficult to beat and that will be enough to grind out the right number of results.

40 points - Boring BFS out!! :D

from bbc - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/18483424

West Ham chairman David Gold is excited about the Hammers' prospects after the release of the fixtures for 2012-13. "It's going to be extremely exciting. The last time we played Villa on the first day two years ago they beat us 3-0 so we're looking forward to reversing that score. It's important to get off to a good start - we lost the first four games two years ago against big clubs but home to Villa and away to Swansea are winnable games, or games you would expect to get something from."

I'll bet he is.

There isn't a single obvious game that will need discounted tickets (providing they don't set daft prices) til November

And if we go well.....people will be waiting til late March for KFAQ or half price......

Not strictly true .

In 2009 we won 2-0 at Wolves and the last time we got promoted beat Blackburn at home 3-1

Not to mention beating Charlton 3-1 at home in 2006 and Wigan 2-1 at home in 2008.

But other than that we never win on the opening day winkysmileything

2005/06 we won at home to Blackburn
2006/07 we won at home to Charlton
2008/09 we won at home to Wigan
2009/10 we won away at Wolves

Only the last couple seasons we've slipped up

Agree completely.

There's 2 outstanding teams (the Mancs), 4 very good ones that have at least a couple of special players each (Arse, Spurs, Chelsea, Newcastle), while most of the rest will be inconsistent.

The one thing we'll notice I reckon is that the quality of finishing is so much better than in the Fizz.

Even bottom 6 teams like Villa and QPR have vastly superior forwards to those in the Championship.

Sign the right players and keep Allardyce - we'll be comfortably safe.
