Learn to cook. I enjoy cooking and don't see it as a chore.

No chance it is a chore after being at work all day, I couldn't think of anything worse to do.

I find the opposite , after a **** 10 hour day at work I have enjoyed preparing and then cooking our sweet and sour pork it does help me unwind although I do stop at clearing up.

I'm the same CF, I'm out the house 7am-7pm during the week [even later if I end up at the gym] yet when I come home I'll cook a meal and it helps me unwind and relax, the washing up though...that can **** right off!

Fair enough, each to their own and all that, I suppose some of it may be because as a child my mum used to do all the cooking 95% of the time. I despise it personally, it wouldn't unwind me, it would aggravate me so much.

All I want to do when I get in is put my feet up and relax.

Home made chick pea + veg curry with a home made samosa. Home made by the mother-in-law of a woman at work who is a professional cook and who had to much for her do at work so she gave me some to take home. It's the dogs - that woman can truly cook!

At my sister's gaff in Cornwall (Mawgan Porth) for the week, so been cooking a lot of fish - Hake, Mussells etc. Last night tonight, so having lovely fish & chips from the chippy up the road.

I forget sometimes just how good the fresh fish is when you're near the coast. I wouldn't dream of buying Mussells from a supermarket near me, and standalone Fishmongers are a thing of the past.

Home from Cornwall today (boo!) so raced over to the shops & got some stuff for a quick bbq. Several burgers down & I feel normal again.

That really has invoked some good memories CH, I used to have this every Friday as a treat when I was a kid, I am going to get some next shop as I have not had this for years.

I did roast lamb (with garlic) pots roasted with thyme , honey drizzled roast parsnips, cabbage with leeks, peas , bttered carrots , york puds and gravy.
