They also beat us at Euro 88. Although we both went out, they finished above us.

That team hardly counts as Irish.

Phelan, Townsend, Houghton, Aldridge, Sheridan, Babb, Cascerino, McGoldrick, Kelly, McAteer, probably more, all English or Scottish...

Which was my point, with Harry's wheel.... er management skills we'd have Africans, South Americans etc playing for us with their dear old Granny McDuff flown in from wherever and cheering them on from the side line.
