But delighted I was proven to be a pillock.

Who would have thunk it?

I really think he's going to win something with us.
I did.

I thought those who were bitching about post-SAF Man Utd, random Spanish team Sociedad and post-Sam relegation-threatened Sunderland were totally missing the point.

I always saw us as his next Everton. I thought he was the right man at the right time.

In Sales and Account Management, you want the person looking after your account to see you as their biggest and most important client, but still be capable of fulfilling what you need.

Pellegrini had had bigger accounts - we were small fry for him.

Zola hasn't had an account as big as ours since.

Moyes was made to manage West Ham.

I love the way he refuses to let Sully foist
Signings on him.
Love the fact he won't sign ageing injury prone stars.
Love the fact it's all abt the team
Love the fact he will only sign young fit hardworking players with potential and resale.
Love the fact he's built a great backroom staff
Love our never say die attitude and his willingness to blood youngsters.
Like My mate IB I was a fan especially having met Moyes.

All the above, plus the way he brings on three players at the same like South Africa do in rugby. They call them the “bomb squad”. Ours should be called the ‘get-it-done squad’.
Love the way he’s introducing Kral and Vlasic. Keep up the great work mr Moyes.

Bad tactics, bad personnel selection today. I´m not happy with our manager since the last international break. This is more the David Moyes from his first period at West Ham, don´t wanna see that again!

3 at the back with additional two at the left and right side has never really worked against the big teams, but Moyes did it again. Choosing Masuaku and Johnson has been a bad idea. Fornals at the right was also crap. The subs were definitely too late today.

ManCity was not that good today, we were unfortunately really bad.

Every player is fit currently instead of Ogbonna, so play our system which has worked so many times this and last season, with four defenders, Rice and Soucek before them, and players who can produce something magic before.

No mate. You're not a pillock. I thought, and think, the exact same thing. He ****ed up in that game. Everton had used all their sub's, we could've changed the game and they wouldn't have been able to bring on more sub's. I bet you, no, I double bet you, even Moyes himself would admit that he messed up in that game.

Even losing wasn't as crap as it used to be. 5 goal drubbings etc. Man City deserved to win I'm my opinion but with a bit of better finishing we could have got a draw.

I particularly liked our last goal. Moyes non stop attitude there for sure.

With regard to the squad, I'd like to see him start to trust more players beyond the starting eleven.

We should be getting more from the likes of Lanzini and Vlasic, but only giving them bit parts or starting them in teams with wholesale changes isn't really the right way to assess their readiness.

We can buy as many new players in Jan as we like, but if Moyes isn't going to trust them, it won't improve our situation much!

The difference between us and a team that ends the season in the top four is options off the bench to change the game.

Haven't been on in a while, but wanted to point out.... this was maybe his best job since he got here, showed a willingness to make structural changes to win the match, good subs etc.

He's been really good this season, and looking at his career arc now... it feels like what happens to some players. Lots of early success, move to the big club and have a rough patch, lose confidence in themselves and stop taking risks etc.

When Moyes in his post-Manchester rough spell, including early on here, we all criticized him for being too conservative, not just in play style, but in willingness to make changes, subs etc. In the more recent run he looks like success made him confident in himself again, he's far more willing to trust his own judgement and make tweaks.

Easily our best manager since Lyall. Whenever his reign ends (& hopefully it’s not for a long while yet) he’ll be able to look back at his time here and know he’s carved his name in West Ham United folklore for all the right reasons.

Runs the show.
